Bought as a replacement after the first one I had stopped working and I have to say it's better then the first one. I highly recommend buying if you watch movies on your ps.

I use my PS primarily as a media player so this remote worth every single penny i paid for it. Earlier I used the standard OEM remote but I hated to exit playback or go back/forth due to accidental touch of a button.

This is the new version that combines and infrared universal remote with the PS3 Bluetooth media remote. Having the infrared portion built in makes it so much more useful. The only problem is that it does not seem to be able to control a cable box, but it could control our audio system and TV just fine (as well as the PS3 of course).

Real easy to sync, can use with TVs but the list is short, use as a controller, really light weight, great remote.

Got this to use netflix and Amazon. Works well, cheaper than a controller. Has all the buttons your need and more.

My Sony - Media/Blu-ray Disc Remote Control for PlayStation 3 works wonderfully. I desperately needed a new one and the Sony remote was exactly what I needed.

Would recommend this to any one. Definitely works better than a standard PS3 controller to control movie viewing operations. The biggest downfall of these controllers is that you still need a standard controller to sync this controller for the first use. there is no USB port to plug in to sync like the standard controller.

Great remote if you use your PS3 for DVD/Blu-Ray viewing. Can control other devices, but you need to look up some manufactures codes online.

If you are going to watch Prime or Netflix with your PlayStation you should simply buy one of these. Far easier to use than the game pad plus the game pad stays active while you watch your movie and wears the battery down. This remote uses ordinary batteries and they will last a long time. Matching it to my TV was easy.

We love this remote. I had one before it and it lasted me years. My husband broke it when he stepped on it. I bought another one to replace it. Pleased!

I bought this to compliment my refurbished PS3, and it does not disappoint! If you use your PS3 to watch DVD's, then I recommend you get this remote.

This remote works well for what we need it for. It worked out of the box with our sony soundbar and works well with our previous and current LG TVs.

Never was happy using the game controllers when I was watching a dvd or Netflix. This provides more control, it is even better than my directv remotes.

Performs as well as the original game controller for controlling all PS3 functions (BlueRay and Netflix,etc). Not a gamer, so not sure if it would work as well for gaming, even though it has all the same options available as the original controller. But as a stand alone remote for all other functions on the PS3 player it works fine. Would be nice if it had back lighting for dark viewing.

I wanted something to control Netflix and Bluray movies easily with my PS3. This does the job nicely. It also can control my Sharp LCD TV and my Sony speaker bar. I had a friend try this out and couldn't get it to control his speaker bar It turns out it only controls Sony branded speaker bars. I use this as my primary remote when all I want to do is watch Netflix or Blu-rays.

does what its supposed to do, makes it easier to watch a blu-ray on the PS3, and not having to use the game controller for that is a plus.

If you use your PS3 to watch BR DVDs or streaming videos through Netflix or other services then this controller is essential. The game controllers are a bit awkward for these functions. This is a decent priced option to control you PS3. Worth the money. Only negative is that I find the button layout difficult to use in the dark. A lit button option would have been nice.

You never even have to use the controller. I bought this for my wife and daughter to use the PS3 as a Blu Ray player and they love it .

Wish it can work on my ps4 but it's ok with my PS3 I have 2 pa3 one in the bedroom and one out in the liveningroom so it's good for the 3d games and 3d blue Rays as for the player.
