I would recommend the 60 or the 80 though cause it has more features, but 20 still rocks...

Those of us of a certain age probably have a CD collection that is gathering dust. But it's hard to find anything to play them on anymore when everything is mostly digital. I wanted a sound system for our games room that I could use with my CD collection but the kids could still connect to via Bluetooth if they wanted to stream from Spotify. The Sony MHC-M20 fits the bill perfectly. I had forgotten how great a bookshelf sound system is.and doesn't disappoint. This is purely a home speaker system, CD, radio, or bluetooth connections are your best choice. You could use it with your TV if it has composite out but this is not designed to be used as a home theater system the MHC-M20 is a true stereo system. I'll probably grab another one for my parents.

This is a small three piece system. The sound quality is fine. The main shortcoming is that the tray opens directly above the open/close button, so the user has to fumble around to find the button to close the tray. The only other shortcoming is that it only accepts one disc at a time.

The M20D, which is the UK version, has some features lacking in the American version. It has a DVD player and HDMI support. You'll also notice on the American version (M20) that there are buttons for lighting modes, which the system doesn't support. Overall, this is a nice little shelf system. The speakers are actually a little larger than I expected. The available Music Center app allows you to run most features from your phone. I was already familiar with this app as I also use it on a Sony 7.2 receiver I have. There are some gimmick options available like DJ sound effects, which some might enjoy. Several EQ modes, most of which sound muffled on the high end or dull. There is a manual/custom EQ, thankfully, plus a bass boost and fiesta mode that can energize the sound. The supported audio modes work well. USB worked without a hitch and Bluetooth connected easily to my android phone and held connection. I didn't try the CD player, as I really don't have any audio CD's left to try. I'm kind of surprised in 2018 they still included a CD player. You can party chain this system with another supported Sony speaker/system. I don't have another one to try this and see how it works. Overall, this does what it does pretty well and sounds good enough for most applications such as a bedroom or office.

Amazing sound system! Definitely worth the price!!

I bought this because it had FM capabilities. I am disappointed in the FM antenna and its ability to receive stations, it is a small single wire. I was also less than pleased with the preset station functions. The Sony MHC-M20 indicates it does many other functions but I wanted those capabilities for others to use

It is almost more than a month since I bout this incredible Sony speaker. I love it, it works the way I expected and deserves 5 star.
