Great camera for an amateur
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We have a Canon Rebel we purchased in 2006 for our son's plays and activities, we had been using it also for our grand kids. We had been looking at upgrading to a new one but we were hoping to find one lighter. The new Canon is lighter but the Sony Nex6 is crazy light with 16.1 megapixel, and 1080p video. We are still learning the functions of the camera thats why the ease of use is at "good".

ordered online received returned camera msng parts

I received the camera 13 days later in the mail. The camera was clearly a return item, the box inside was already open, the accessories were in the box outside of their plastic holders, the charger cord no where to be found the battery inside the camera discharged. No possible way to determine whether the camera is usable. Extremely poor quality control by BestBuy. Returned items should not be sold as new. Now I have to go through the hassle of going through customer service and figure out how to resolve this problem.

Less than 30 days and broke!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Sony Nex 6, and less than 30 days later, it would not power on or charge the battery. Tried new battery but same problem. So, I take it back to Best Buy/Geek Squad, as I purchased the two year protection plan. I dropped it off at Best Buy on 4/23/14. They tell me they need to ship it off for repair. No exchanges or even trying a replacement battery/charger first. Needless to say, my quoted ETA of the camera was 5/5/14. It is 5/10/14, and after two days speaking with Best Buy and geek squad, they are still unable to locate my camera, except to tell me it left Conneticut last. No tracking number or anything on my almost $1000 camera!!! Honestly, if I had known it would take this long and be this disorganized, I would have gone with a different camera and bought it at a different store. To other customers out there, be careful!! Here's keeping my fingers crossed I will actually get it back soon!! Thanks.
