These headphones are designed to block out airplane noise, and they do a good job. They need a battery. When you get on the plane, put them on and then turn on the power - the noise of the engines won't go completely away, but it gets a lot less and it's much easier to ignore. I went from my usual annoyed-but-put-up-with the sound of the airplane's engines, to relaxed. There are bigger and more expensive headphones with noise cancelling but these are really nice for the price. And they fold up, too.

These headphones are great: comfy, lightweight and sound great. One downside is the first pair I got broke. Recommend getting the protection plan just in case.

Good for the price. I like the fit and feel of them. They're very light. The plug was too small for my amp, so I got an adapter. Also from Best Buy. The connection was crackly and cut out. Don't know if it was the headphone plug or the adapter. One complaint is the scrawny cord on the phones. I'm afraid there'll be trouble if ever I pull on it or catch it on something. It's too short, also. My only other is you can get full fidelity, but you have to turn the volume up to ear damaging level.

My wife surprised me with these at Christmas. I truly wanted to like them. They are light and comfortable for long sessions. The noise cancelling if useful but the battery depleted VERY fast. I don't use this circuit anymore. I constantly forget to set the cancelling switch to off when removing the phones. The phone could have cut the circuit when the phone are idle, but this was not a feature. This makes recommending the phones a deal breaker. All else about the product is quite good.

Purchased for my son who asked for a different brand but once we heard these there was no way we weren't buying them! They were well worth the little extra money but even more worth the savings off the ridiculously expensive ones and way more comfortable!

These headphones were a gift to a 9-year-old Young champion. So far they're still going strong. I am not positive how long the battery has been lasting. They do seem a bit flimsy. I am waiting for the day when he accidentally breaks them. But so far he loves the sound and if they are to be a casualty of his feet during the game of bedroom basketball at least the price tag wasn't so steep with the great deal that I got.

Great sound, feel, and fit. I can't say really anything bad to say about the headphones. In fact only reason I put 4 stars only has to do more with what came with the headphones. Out of the box this set comes with 3 cables, a charging cable and a aux cable, both are the type of quality you might find at a local dollar store. I quickly got rid of both. Then there is the carrying "pouch" which will protect your investment from dirt, nothing else, it is made of cloth, a firm case made of plastic would even have been better.

I have used these on several occasions for hours on end when flying on planes. The headsets do a fairly good job of canceling most of the noise. It also depends on where you sit in the plane. I usually sit behind the engines which is very noisy and I was able to enjoy my music. It is wired and you CANNOT use it to talk on your phone. You can only listen. If you want to use the noise canceling feature you do need AAA batteries which comes with it. If you do not use the noise canceling feature you can still listen to your music without batteries. This is an on the ear headset.

great value headset. good ANC at a low cost. good sound at a low cost. travel well. lower grade build and finish materials translates into a lot of value to the listener. If you dont mind the feel of plastic headphones and want great sound with anc at a low price then try these.

These are not costly, and do the job quite well. Quality of sound is good. Watch battery life for noise reduction. Person who bought these is smallish, female, and this fit perfectly. Highly recommend!

Bought these great "low tech" wired headphones specifically for plane travel and love them. They're lightweight, pack easily, have great sound and keep you from having to turn on Bluetooth. For security reasons, a huge plus in my book. I recommend them.

I noticed that there was construction going on down the street and I work at home so hearing the rat-at-tat-tat all day long for weeks was not an option. I went to Best Buy and found these, great quality, good noise-dampening [not canceling] headphones. Sturdy and comfortable. Great price. If you want functionality with no frills, this is your choice. They will not shut out sound, but definitely tone it down and sound from my ipad is good.

These headphones are good for the price, however, like other people mentioned, they're over the ear, so after some time it can get uncomfortable. The noise cancelling is acceptable. It definitely helps with the plane noise. One note is that the adaptor for in-flight entertainment may not work in some airlines/plane models (it did not work for me on Latam from the US to South America), however I just plugged it in directly in one of the jacks and it was fine. I would recommend this to someone with a tight budget.
