I picked up the Sony branded headphones because I knew they could fit with the VR helmet. Indeed they can fit but in a clunky way. It’s a tight fit and you need to use the VR’s cord, I was not expecting that. I also purchased them because I don’t keep my stereo in that room. You can definitely feel immersed in the game as far as being able to tell where you are in space relating to the protagonists and environment. The Sony branding made me a bit hesitant, but I must say I am very pleased with the quality and the value. Hardcore gamers, I don’t know how hot they might get, but they feel comfortable to me and I have all kinds of metal sticking out of my ears. Compared to my $300 set of headphones, these really performed well.

Very good headset. Great sound and comfortable fit. Only issue I have is I have to unplug the dongle from the playstation every time I go to play so that the headset and dongle connect

This headset has the quality that the Gold headset from this same brand should have but the Gold is more comfy so that’s the only downside i find for this product, overall it is a good upgrade from those cheap, low quality and average sound headsets out there.

These are made for PS4 (obviously) - they enhance the whole gaming experience. Great comfort, great sound - the range is a limited but nothing is better than being able to be wireless and free - made for PlayStation, by PlayStation.

I previously had the Sony Playstation Gold headset but decided to upgrade after one of the ear cushions tore (I've had them for 4 years) decided to upgrade rather than replace to the platinum for the 3D audio and 7.1 surround. The best example I can give to explain the quality of this headset is that during an online first person shooter match I could, in detail of direction, hear opponents coming in closer before my party mate who was positioned right beside me. The sound of gunfire in games at full blast volume is ear piercing; in a way that nearly mimics the actual sound of a gunshot. The voice chat quality is crystal clear and others that I've talked to through this headset say they hear me perfectly with no background noise or distortion I can wear these comfortably for about 4 hours then my ears need a little break The companion app from playstation is a great feature as well to customize your audio experience These are also great to watch movies with Ans lastly you get about 35ft of distance with these until the bluetooth begins to break up and that also included going into other rooms where walls would conflict with signal. 35ft is plenty If you catch these on sale(which I did for $50 off) and you want a quality headset to excel your Playstation experience, then do not hesitate

Use to have the golds and used the crap out of them but i must say the platinums 3d sound makes a difference in online shooters. Also platinums quality is better. feel more durable and fit a little more snug

Outstanding headset great sound little expensive but worth it

I purchased these to replace a of gold headset. The sound, battery life, and comfort is way better. I’m not too crazy about the location of the buttons though, especially the mute button.

Love my Platinum headset! The ear pieces are very soft and comfortable and the metal construction gives me confidence in its sturdiness. I sometimes wear a hat and glasses with this no problem. The only drawback is it starts to hurt the top of my head after prolonged play, thus wearing a hat with it.

First set of headphones for PS4 Pro. Sound is excellent if you load the Horizon Zero Dawn sound profile. The shooter profile does not sound that good. NO connection drops or other problems. They block out the sound around you, and sometimes you say things out loud you do not realize!!! A little padding on the rubber head strap would be nice.

Overall very good build quality, excellent sound quality with solid bass, and pretty good battery life. However, it gets incredibly unforgettable very quickly. The top band presses down on your head and your ears will warm up quickly. It started getting uncomfortable after wearing it for roughly 1 hour. I noticed that it doesn’t cut in and out once a while and there’s a slight cracking noises sporadically. Even though I think the sounds quality is awesome, the discomfort just doesn’t allow me to enjoy it for long term use. Unfortunately, I am returning it.

These cans are extremely comfortable. The sound is very clear. Battery life is pretty good. Playing Call Of Duty, with these, sounds phenomenal. Best pair of gaming headphones that I've owned.

Definitely a great buy! Sound is awesome and adjustable through the PlayStation app and allows two settings to be stored labeled 1 & 2 on the headset. Can be hard wired to other devices via headphone jack. I use them to watch movies on my iPhone (hardwired not Bluetooth). They fit comfortably, and even fit my 6 yr old. I have yet to try using the provided wireless adapter on a computer and seeing if it works. Sony suggests that they will work IF the supplied adapter (the same one that plugs into the Playstation’s USB) is used in your computer’s USB. The Mic is sensitive and picks up all the surrounding sounds which can be annoying to other players. Overall, excellent addition to heighten the gaming, music and movie experience!

I am not a serous gamer, but I bought this to serve as my primary headset and the primary way I listen to my games. The surround sound is great and the 3D audio is pretty cool, but there’s not a ton of support. Only a few games have 3D audio presets. The biggest complaint I have is the software on the PS4 that you use to manage your audio presets. You can only add 2 presets which isn’t really that big of a deal unless you play more than 2 different styles of games at a time and want custom presets for those games. Somewhat of a bonus for this headset is you can use them as regular headphones without using any battery power.

I’ve had it 8 months & need to replace it because the ear cover has come loose & it disconnects from time to time. Before that 5 stars on sound & battery.

Great speaker amazing sound quality most definitely has very punchy Bass and holds 24 hour charge great for long days. the dual mode is awesome turns anyroom to a party but you can do that with one speaker also

These are extremely well built and the quality of the sound is just phenomenal. Much like the Gold headset, these are can store 2 custom settings, which can be downloaded from the PS Audio app on your PS4. You can just hear the details so well and the 3D audio I think is amazing. You cannot go wrong with these.
