Initially, I had planned to purchase this at Amazon. Then I read the horror stories... some buyers had received knockoffs labeled as Sony, batteries getting too hot, batteries dying shortly after first use, etc. Even though I wanted the battery earlier, I decided to take the safe route. I knew I could get the true OE item from Best Buy. Battery performs wonderfully, and I can get well over 1200 shots before I'm down to the last bar.

The extra battery is essential when purchasing the Sony a series camera. It does a great job in charging quickly and holding a charge.

Got this to replace my 12-year-old battery I had previously for my camera. So far it holds a charge nicely. Went on a 6 day vacation and did not have to charge it once. Very happy with this so far!

Both the batteries and the charger perform as expected - they were purchased to supplement a new Sony Alpha 7RII camera. I trust purchasing them from Best Buy online and picking them up at my local store rather than buying through Amazon due to the plethora of fake batteries being sold through many online retailers.

this is perfect for those with Sony cameras! double check the type of sony battery you have but I have the Sony ZV-E1 and this was great for a back up battery if you're shooting long shoots.

for vlogging you need battery time, to capture everything. So I grabbed this for backup juice when on the go. feel its more expensive than needed, but its sony property.

I bought this so I wouldn't be caught without a freshly charged battery. While there are other brands available for your Sony, why risk compatability issues and charge indicator errors. Unless you never stray from home with your camera, a spare battery is a necessary item to have. After a shoot, I rotate my batteries from camera to charger and install my freshly charged one in camera. That way, my camera is ready to go when I am. I will grab my other battery from the charger on the way out the door.

This battery is better than the one that came with my camera! Lasts a while and charges quickly.
