Must have battery charger for camera

I usually have three batteries so that i dont miss shots due to battery going dead. Easy to use. Plugs into wall socket and when light turns green it is fully charged.

was surprised by long battery life

Was not expecting the battery to last more than 3 hours (with constant use) according to my camera's manual. Expecting to run out of battery and have to charge every day, I was pleasantly surprised when that never happened! Battery never died with using it all day long (on/off several times, was not nonstop use, but fairly close) and I did not have to charge it every day.

Some of the reviews from the unit itself stated that the battery lifetime was not all that great while using the battery for a long time. I decided to pick this spare battery. and it works perfectly with my unit. The battery itself its a bit pricey, but Its a must have for all those long trips with the camera.

As there's lots to see out there and not always a place to charge up, let alone the issue of your battery dying just when there's something fantastic to photogaph, I would recommend you never buy a camera without a spare battery. It saved my trip more than once!

Generic works fine in camera but cannot be charged in the Sony charger as dimensions are slightly smaller than real thing. Bought the NP-FW50 as second battery, which everyone should have, and based on use in a different Sony camera. Very happy with the real Sony product including battery life.
