Good Sound and Quality

Drivers convert electrical energy into mechanical energy (sound waves) by vibrating the diaphragm. The larger the driver the more energy is needed. 30mm or 40mm speaker drivers require more energy than an ear bud. Hence, added drainage on the battery. Those of you that use Over-the-Ear headphones on your mp3s now know why you don’t get loud sounds and that your batteries don’t get the expected life span. So stop writing those bad reviews and design a better ear bud. NOTE: Every speaker consists of two elements, the motor element that converts the electrical signal into a mechanical force, and the acoustic radiator that matches the mechanical output to the acoustic medium. The first is the interface between electrical and mechanical systems, the second is between the mechanical system and the medium. Most microphones have only a rudimentary acoustical receiver, but it is an essential part of a speaker. The mp3 will put out the same voltage regardless of how high you crank up the volume. So the lower the speaker ohms (impedance), the more power you will get to the speaker, and theoretically, more drain on the battery. Select a headphone with low ohms for louder sounds. If you want to liquify your brain with sound waves this is the way to go. The Sony ZX with 30mm driver and short speaker cord (less resistance or ohms) is an excellent choice if you prefer an Over-the-Ear headphone for your mp3. My big noggin loves it.
