The larger the driver the more energy is needed. 30mm or 40mm speaker drivers require more energy than an ear bud. Hence, added drainage on the battery. Those of you that use Over-the-Ear headphones on your mp3s now know why you don’t get loud sounds and that your batteries don’t get the expected life span. So stop writing those bad reviews and design a better ear bud. The Sony ZX with 30mm driver and short speaker cord (less resistance or ohms) is an excellent choice if you prefer an Over-the-Ear headphone for your mp3. My big noggin loves it.
