Sony Subwoofer with a deep sound

I used to have the Samsung N950 and the sub on that system is basic compared to this one for the A7000. It handles low frequency extremely well and does not feel like it's a wireless sub. I've never heard the smaller sub from SONY for this system but I'd imagine it doesn't pack a punch like this one. Is it overpriced, yes but if you know SONY than it's no surprised. Do yourself the favor and purchased this sub along with the soundbar, you'll save $200 upfront.

Works very smooth with my Bravia Theater Bar 8. Best of all: the connection is stable with interference around! My old HT9Z soundbar & woofer was notoriously bad for subwoofer stability.

I paired it up with the Sony A5000 sound bar, and let me tell you how great the sound is. A deep rich bass, and it is also easy to pair with your system. It has two buttons on the back. The top one is to turn it on/off, and the bottom one is to pair it with your sound bar. Just press is and hold it for 5-6 seconds, and behold.

This one is a little more tame, and still rattles the windows, ours, not the neighbors. A great addition to the Bravia Bar 8 we purchased at the same time.

Great subwoofer to pair with the HT A7000

Watched Mad Max Fury Road, bass filled a 25x25ft room no problem. It was insane. Would recommend going full Sony setup for ease of use. I paired this with the ht a7000 sound bar, a90j TV, and a ps5. Everything works great together.

Setup was easy! Not sure why there have been so many comments on the setup when all you have to do is follow it step by step! Very impressed with movie soundtracks in both Dolby and DTS formats! EXTRA benefits include music in 360 spatial that are available from sources such as Amazon. Check it out!

The fabric mesh grill could be a higher quality material but hopefully holds up. The LFE is deep, dynamic and plenty of power left. I had to turn down the level so if my room size changes, I’m sure the sub will still have enough to give. No wireless drops, solid connection along with the the rear channel speakers (SARS3S). While it’s not a cheap sub, I feel I got a quality sub for the $.

A must for the HT-A5000.

This seamlessly pairs with the HT-A5000, literally plug it in, and you are done. Adds that presence to the impact moments of movies that a small soundbar just cannot. As they used to say in the car world, there is no replacement for displacement, and a larger, long throw, woofer will always outperform the tiny drivers in the sound bars. The cabinet does look a little cheap under close inspection, but then again my frame of reference admittedly is theater subs in a different class, so with that in mind, this is as good as its peers.

Subwoofer upgrade

My Sony subwoofer paired to that soundbar would not work with my new Sony soundbar. Not happy about that, but this replacement subwoofer is an improvement! Easy set up and no problems.

Only the optional subwoofer (SA-SW3 and SA-SW5) are compatible with our HT-S2000, HT-A3000, HT-A5000, and HT-A7000.
