Do not go with smaller wattage, you put this with the IMAX setting on the Sony TV... Never will you go to the theater again, unless you love the popcorn!

Very impressed, rocks the whole apartment

It literally vibrates the entire apartment when turned up all of the way and is louder than you can imagine. I literally do not have 1 complaint other than it is very very expensive compared to other subs. But it is built very well, it looks and feels very high end and again, do not have a single complaint about its performance. If your looking for a powerful sub this is what you want. It was very easy to connect to my a5000 sony aound bar after i read the directions lol Now, it did not connect automatically like the tech at best buy said it would BUT connected very easily on the first try manually.

Powerful Sub...

The only issue that I had with this when I received it, was that is was loosely packed and could have very easily been damaged. No coverings and no Styrofoam on it.

Very good system but a little disappointed

Not over powering, just right to my Ears. Good sound quality and adds that extra ump you need for Moves and Music. The A7000 Soundbar is good by its self but you need the stand alone bass to get all the benefits from the Soundbar. The only regret i have is i also bought SA-RS3 rear speakers back in October. 6 months later Sony brings out the SA-RS5 with up firing Speakers. Wish i knew then what Sony were planning. I feel like i got screw like so many other Sony buyers who i have chatted with. SA-RS3 are good but do not have up firing Speaker. Spend $399 back then and the SA-RS5 are $599 now. Wish i could trade in SA-RS3 for the new ones.

I didn't expect its size or sound. It's way much better than any other subwoofers I have ever used in other systems. Every seat in the room is now a rumble seat! It’s all very pricy, but what isn’t these days. I figure you only live once so might as well splurge, that is if you can afford it. I certainly do not regret my purchases.

Compliments your Sony soundbar

This subwoofer definitely added that extra oomph that my soundbar cannot replicate. I have had zero connectivity issues and pairing it was fairly easy. It cannot beat my Nakamichi soundbar double sub set-up, but it's no slouch either. Get this if you're getting a Sony soundbar.

You need this if you have the A7000

The sound bars put out great sound and the software they use makes a great surround sound experience, but to really feel it, you need the power this one puts out. You really feel the concert ambiance of music performances and the deep space of those freaky jump scare movies. Did I mention it is wireless!!! I love the clean look of no wires. Maybe not recommended for small apartments with quiet neighbors...

Solid Sub, must have with A7000 Soundbar

I paired this with an A7000 sound bar and it’s a solid everyday performer. Punchy for movie night as well. If you purchase the A7000, do not pass on this sub. Integration is seamless, and setup as easy as automatic. There is an additional sub level adjustment that is nice as each room has different acoustics, this can be adjusted directly from the quick menu of a compatible Sony TV. (Works great for my Sony XR). I’d give it 5 stars, but I did have to repair the sub once already with the sound bar. This was as easy as unplugging the sub and restarting it, but an annoyance nonetheless. I’ve only had the setup for 4 weeks so long term, this could bump up to 5 if not a regular occurrence (WIFI, is not the issue).

Helps Bring Movies to Life, and Depth to Music
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This little guy packs a punch and really lives up to that old saying, “You get what you pay for.” It adds some great texture to what the great umph that the soundbar provides. I have it sitting about 15 feet away from me when watching movies and you can feel those low frequencies. During my rewatch of The Matrix, my new AppleTV remote started vibrating on the couch next to me. This really helps to drive that ‘home cinema’ experience, home. Just as impressive as the low frequencies are, the setup process was just as great. You just need to find a spot for it in your media/living room, and plug it in. That’s it! The soundbar found it and connected to it automatically. No wizards, no setup menus. It found the subwoofer and connected to it immediately. I would say that this should be a definite add-on if you are considering the HT-7000 soundbar. I love it and would eagerly recommend it.
