Glad I got this unit. Picture quality is excellent.

Good overall. Cannot get screen mirroring to work with any pc or apple product. Would be better with more streaming apps. Picture quality is good.

Only had it for 1 month now, and no issues. I saw that other people started having issues after a few months, so I'm crossing my fingers. Tried Blue-ray and regular dvds, including some from the library, and they all worked. Only small issue is if the DVD had chapters I had to select, the cursor did not highlight on the first chapter. I had to press the dvd title button numerous times to restart the dvd to get the cursor to show up so I could select a chapter. So far, I would recommend, but we'll see what happens in the next couple months

Very high quality 4K ultra high-def DVD player. Easy to pair DVD remote with Sony TV remote, so enjoy using just one remote.

It's an easy install and it works great. Very simple to use and provides a great image and sound. Plus it's very compact.

I was looking for a good quality Bluray player and this Sony is OUTSTANDING! It’s a plus that it goes well with my Sony 65” tv. I’m a movie buff and this goes well with my setup.

the dvid was installed today, and it is a relief to plays dvd, and cd again.

I purchased an Open Box EXCELLENT which was shipped to me from out of state. Upon opening up after all the unwiring of a working LG non-wifi unit, the problems all unfolded. The LG OLED recognized a Sony player. Great - but the power button on the unit itself would NOT turn off. The remote didn't do anything. I even changed the batteries - nothing. Also, Sony is a bit out of date with all the monster plug size that eliminates another 2 plug units with a critical surge strip. So shame on you Best Buy for a joke of no quality control/calling it "Excellent" when it was clearly defective. You wasted money shipping it, and took up my time with wiring, returning, etc. And my local store acted like they were doing me a favor returning a defective unit and if I wanted to pay full price for the Black Friday deal I could. How is that "generous" or accommodating? It's what is required by state law. First for everything I guess since I've purchased several items over the years with -0- issues. I did speak with the Store Manager today about what I should've expected for customer service and he said he would follow up with the employee. He tried to take $10-20 off the price to make up for the bad customer service experience but Corporate or Sony allowed for no reductions whatsoever.

Very fine machine. As an early Christmas present to myself I bought this Blue-ray player to pair with a new Sony Bravia television and couldn't be happier with the result. The UBP-X700 is small in size but plays way big. I got it on sale at Best Buy and it does everything it should and does it all well. Even ten-year-old DVDs look good and new Blue-ray discs are marvelous. You can spend more, but I can't imagine why you would want to do so.

Not happy with this at all. This is weird for me to say because normally Sony comes through for me. I have a Sony A8H TV and I absolutely love it....so why does this player suck so bad? 1. Reliability. Multiple 4k discs will simply freeze mid-playback. No, it is not a disc issue as this has occurred on 7-8 different discs. It will just freeze out of nowhere and IF it starts playing again it will skip anywhere from 5-30 minutes of the movie. Unacceptable. 2. The apps and built-in menu is horrific. It is shrunk down to some weird size that looks awful when you are trying to navigate it. I tried it just for the sake of testing, but stick with your tv streaming apps if you can because the format of this thing is like a 10-year-old computer. On top of that...it randomly just erases all the apps! I had everything set up then it required an update, when I installed the update, it wiped all of the apps. Then a month later, it didn't even run an update, it just decided to wipe everything for no apparent reason. Don't depend on this thing for apps because it will let you down. 3. The 4k disc playback with HDR10/Dolby Vision is great....WHEN IT DOES'NT FREEZE. I get that it is a cheaper option but come on SONY. At least make it dependable. Add on that you have to manually enable Dolby Vision...are you kidding me Sony? Its that expensive to add an auto-detector? Sure it is the low end of the price range and I'm willing to make some sacrifices, but at this point I'd rather not have anything than this level of unreliability. I've struggled with it for close to 6 months now and I hate it.

This Blu-ray player was very easy to set up. The apps work well and the quality of video and audio is excellent!

This 4k player is great and my family has really enjoyed it. 4k movies look great on our Sony Bravia 85 inch tv.

Our last BluRay player died a tragic death and since we liked the Sony version so much, until we had to give it extreme unction, we figured we would get another Sony. It works well, is very user-friendly, and plays our DVDs beautifully. No complaints!

I have a lot of Blu Ray and DVD's which can be upscaled by this device or my new Sony Bravo X90J. I probably won't be buying many 4k dvd's for awhile if at all and just wanted a great player for all my older collections....This didn't disappoint, and plays all discs with superb color and upscale. I love it...No problems whatsoever.
