I feel like the user interface looks kind of clunky and outdated compared to what it could be. But, like I said, it gets the job done so no complaints there. I picked this one up in a hurry, though, so I didn't really compare it against any others. If there's another one that's cheaper and has the same features, I'd say you're probably not missing out on much.

The newer technology was not something I was aware of until I purchased this unit. Sometimes with newer technology, you may need to pay a higher price; this 4k unit was a good compromise as it didn’t break the bank! I am happy with the performance so far.

The USB slot is awkwardly placed, because the front of the player is elevated above where the USB goes, so you have to lift the player to see the slot to plug it in a lot of times.

I use it only because it plays 4k blu-rays and supports Dolby Vision. that part is great. what is not great is that on some disks it will freeze up and start getting choppy. I've done some searching and it seems that this is sort of a known issue.
