A descent player, enough features for my purpose. Easy to install. Nice compact size.

Great machine for the price. I only use it for UHD disks and it works great. Have not tried streaming on it and not planning to.

Very fine machine. As an early Christmas present to myself I bought this Blue-ray player to pair with a new Sony Bravia television and couldn't be happier with the result. The UBP-X700 is small in size but plays way big. I got it on sale at Best Buy and it does everything it should and does it all well. Even ten-year-old DVDs look good and new Blue-ray discs are marvelous. You can spend more, but I can't imagine why you would want to do so.

Not happy with this at all. This is weird for me to say because normally Sony comes through for me. I have a Sony A8H TV and I absolutely love it....so why does this player suck so bad? 1. Reliability. Multiple 4k discs will simply freeze mid-playback. No, it is not a disc issue as this has occurred on 7-8 different discs. It will just freeze out of nowhere and IF it starts playing again it will skip anywhere from 5-30 minutes of the movie. Unacceptable. 2. The apps and built-in menu is horrific. It is shrunk down to some weird size that looks awful when you are trying to navigate it. I tried it just for the sake of testing, but stick with your tv streaming apps if you can because the format of this thing is like a 10-year-old computer. On top of that...it randomly just erases all the apps! I had everything set up then it required an update, when I installed the update, it wiped all of the apps. Then a month later, it didn't even run an update, it just decided to wipe everything for no apparent reason. Don't depend on this thing for apps because it will let you down. 3. The 4k disc playback with HDR10/Dolby Vision is great....WHEN IT DOES'NT FREEZE. I get that it is a cheaper option but come on SONY. At least make it dependable. Add on that you have to manually enable Dolby Vision...are you kidding me Sony? Its that expensive to add an auto-detector? Sure it is the low end of the price range and I'm willing to make some sacrifices, but at this point I'd rather not have anything than this level of unreliability. I've struggled with it for close to 6 months now and I hate it.

Great picture quality and very easy to set up. Cannot beat the price.

This 4k player is great and my family has really enjoyed it. 4k movies look great on our Sony Bravia 85 inch tv.

It is set up easily and the Wi-Fi connection is great. And the picture is excellent on my 4k tv.

Really nice Blu-Ray player. Works great on 4K discs as well as the other formats. Upscales regular DVDs so they look much sharper. . Loads discs quickly. I haven’t tried streaming since I use an Apple TV 4K device. Best DVD player I’ve ever owned!

I have a lot of Blu Ray and DVD's which can be upscaled by this device or my new Sony Bravo X90J. I probably won't be buying many 4k dvd's for awhile if at all and just wanted a great player for all my older collections....This didn't disappoint, and plays all discs with superb color and upscale. I love it...No problems whatsoever.

Excellent Blu Ray player, especially because I got it on sale. Wanted to get something inexpensive with 4k to match my new Sony 4K TV and this was the perfect fit. Replaced an older Sony Blu Ray player that I have but the new one has a faster interface. Same WiFi and Bluetooth options as well as streaming services like YouTube, Netflix, and Prime. Highly recommend this 4k player if you want good quality without breaking the bank.

This is a great Blu-ray DVD player that matches perfectly with my Sony Bravia TV. For most functions, the remotes are interchangeable, which makes it much easier when you have multiple remotes it has a very slim profile and fits easily into tight spots.

I tried the open box blu ray player at first to see what I was getting into. Worked for a couple days. The movies I were playing would freeze or stutter, sometimes not even play the movie so I switched it to a new one blu ray player. While you don’t have to expect much out of a blu ray player, it’s nice to see 4K getting better as time goes by. In my opinion it’s better to buy new if you don’t trust open and used items.

Provides awesome video to my 85” 8k TV. Easy to hook up and use.
