He reported that the first one we bought was defective out of the box and the tray would not open. returned to Best Buy and received a replacement. I am disappointed to spend my time and energy installing a new piece of equipment (an expensive one at that) just to have to repackage and return the thing. Don't waste your money. It freezes, it doesn't respond anymore unless I unplug it and replug it. When it does work the picture and sound are great but not worth the trouble. And like other reviews have stated, when you pause and come back, the sound doesn't kick in right away. This unit should cost no more than $50 in my opinion.

I love that direct sight line is not needed for the remote. The quality, size and features are great. It seamlessly networked with our Wi-Fi and other equipment.

Very portable, should the need arise and very 'automatic' as well. Turn it on, plug in a dvd and the video source changes automatically.

Easy hook up ans set up. The streaming apps offer more than what was originallu advertised. All.of the strwaming sevices qe have are supported. Great upgrade from our bluray player. Great addition to our living room.

Not quite smart enough

It does ok, but a very limited set of streaming apps - no Max and no apple tv. It does have prime and Netflix though. Otherwise it’s fine - I also got it for 3d blu-rays and they work great

It boots faster than my older Samsung. Quality of blue ray playback is excellent. The picture is crystal clear with no hesitation. I also like the included media apps.

It does not upgrade stand Blue Ray disk to 4K output, but my television does that. No problem updating firmware and setting this up.

I have had no problems. It has all the features I needed for my set up. This was a replacement for a Phillips Blu-Ray player I had that did not perform well.
