The new model works fine so far. I would prefer a DVD player which also takes PAL system DVDs but there were none available in the store. Salesman was very helpful.

I actually like and want to enhance the thrilling definition of 4K. That "Soap Opera" reality that some folks dislike, I thoroughly enjoy. You can salt and pepper the playback on both the Sony TV and Blu-ray (which really upgrades most older DVDs). I am still learning about the Blu-Ray's functions, but I trust Sony quality and I'm having a blast!
