Yet in practice I encountered a number of stutters and freezes. After tinkering around with some settings as sone people have suggested I have had better luck. If issues persist i might just swap it until I get lucky.

I would recommend picking up a ultra HDMI Cable that supports 4k/60fps.

That does little good when you cant get through a movie without the player freezing at random requiring constant power cycles and restarts. Multiple discs have had the same issue with random freezes. Leaving a disc paused for a few minutes will stop playback entirely, and the only way to resume is to shut off the player completely. My PS3 is more reliable.

We had a member of the Geek Squad come and set it up. He was very pleasant and professional. He did a great job hooking it up.
