    I purchased this as a replacement for an LG 4K Blu-Ray player. And as a Sony product it didn’t disappoint. Sturdy construction put shame to my other brand Blu-Ray players. Plus the 4K streaming improved upon my smart TV built in streaming quality. It isn’t the least expensive option in the market, but for me it is the best overall value considering the quality.

    Definitely worth the money! Great picture quality and sound. Very easy to set up. It’s also very well built with a metal framework. It’s heavy.

    I had a panasonic vhs/dvd speaker combo unit (purchased from best buy early 2001 I think) and upon purchasing a new "smarter than me" tv, I realized the old system didn't have hdmi output and the new bluray player didn't have rca jacks, so while I could have bought a converter I opted for the updated component, so nice to have it all integrated and sync'd w the other devices

    This Sony Disc player does it all for me. I bought this mostly because I still enjoy listening to my SACD and DVD-Audio discs and I started having problems with my old player. Since this does DVD's and CD's as well I now only need my Denon AVR and this Sony UBP-X800M2 disc player to do it all! I really enjoy this all-in-one setup now.
