Video and audio features are impressive for this price point player. The interface of use is very easy to jog around wish the remote was larger in size though the buttons are small. Also, I prefer some kind of a front display. The player is heavy and built well. A good value.

Easy to set up right out of the box. Good quality.

Basically, we are just replacing an older model of the same 4K, Blu-ray player with a newer version. We loved the older version and wanted to keep the same one so we are glad that it is just the newer more upgraded one. We are very pleased with our purchase.

Astonished with the quality and build of this sony product!! This an upgrade over the previous 800 model!! The setup was easy and the pic quality and sound was all of that and some!! Thoroughly enjoying this player!!

Really good so far. It has very good quality video and audio. It is pretty minimalist as far as using it a a media player. I think it only has 4 built in apps and you can't install new ones. I think maybe Sony is realizing that is not what people use blu-ray players for anyway.

I LOVE this Blue-Ray Player. The first video I watched immediately showed a remarkable difference in quality of the picture. Makes watching a movie such a treat! I'm thinking about buying another as a gift for my father. Highly recommend.

Best disc player I have owned, I've played 4k discs, blu-rays, dvds, and CDs all with no problems. The player is on a shelf (well ventilated) never ran hot. The only thing it should have is a track / time counter for playing CDs with the tv off.

I was very grateful someone suggested this device. Sturdy box and comfortable setting other devices on top. Suggest using a 4k HDMI cable. It doesn’t come with no hdmi cables. The Home Screen is simple. I like that there is WiFi & a no dvd internet content connection option.

While it does a great job when it works, it doesn't really work very good at least half the time. While I bought this to replace another Sony player that was having issues I only inherited more. Examples: -It will fault out during Prime viewing and/or other streaming content. The only fix is to shut it off and reboot the darn thing. -The remote won't work with my Sony receiver and vice versa, even though they are about the same age/series. So much for "universal" remote language. -The remote will turn on the old Sony DVD player and confuse my Sony receiver often making start ups and shut downs a lot of fun. The only reason I keep the DVD player hooked up is because the newer player doesn't always boot back up so if I want to finish watching something I have to use the older Sony player which has fewer glitches than the newer one. My previous Sony receiver lasted over 20 years and worked well. Given all the flaws and performance issues of the newer units I have to say I will never buy another Sony product again.

Don't be afraid to play with the settings. Out of the box, I wasn't all that impressed with this player compared to a standard blu ray player. Changing the settings on the player and the tv really made the picture sharper and the sound come to life.

Our 12-year-old OPPO died, so we checked out CNET for their recommendation. This Sony is capable of playing 4K blu-rays, so it's a good match for our new 77" LG OLED CX tv. We haven't had it very long, but we are pleased with it so far.

I bought this player as I have slowly been moving towards the 4K movies. We watched our first one and the picture was awesome. I have it connected to our 70 inch Samsung TV. The player was easy to setup. The remote is easy to use. I only had this a short period of time but love the player so far.

When I picked up a new TV that was capable of Dolby Vision I decided to upgrade my Blu-Ray player to be able to take advantage of it. This interface is lacking the dynamic features of the previous model but the box no longer needs to be a multi-tasker. It does the job it is suppose to do and a nice match to a Sony TV.

Outstanding quality, wow! Cool design, awesome features. Picture quality, audio quality, speed, is just awesome in every aspect. Highly recommend this product if you want to get the best out of your tv setup.

Actually, I’d call it a transport, but that’s splitting hairs... I purchased this primarily to listen to SACDs and DVD Audio, but it also plays Blu-ray Audio, CDs, DVDs and even Blu-rays. The picture quality is excellent. The sound from SACDs is simply amazing and worth the price even if that’s all it did...

Excellent Sony 4k disc player that I recommend if want to experience the next generation of movies in this incredible movie format. Experience the movies as the directors intended to watch them. Recommend 100% and remember you must have a 4k tv in order to watch this new 4k movie format.

Was easy to set up. Gives great pictures with my Sony Bravia TV.
