It’s a good speaker, but it’s not worth the price. It should be able to connect to your Wi-Fi to have a solid streaming connection if you go too far with your Bluetooth and your cell phone, it starts stuttering like any other Bluetooth speaker. For $1000 plus it should have been better . I give a three stars because the wireless microphone was pretty good with it .

Sometimes cuts off on Bluetooth mode. Sound is awsome

The Sony Ult Tower 10 isn’t your typical battery Bluetooth speaker you take out for a get together. This speaker is MASSIVE! It is over 3 feet tall, weighs in at over 60 pounds, which is why it has wheels. As is customary for the party speaker category, the Tower 10 has lights that sync to the music, includes a wireless microphone, and has omnidirectional (360). The one drawback is it does NOT have a rechargeable battery and must be plugged in at all times. However, the speaker is extremely loud and is best suited for a large outdoor or indoor areas. The amount of sound that comes out of the tower is my best guess as to why there was no battery option provided. In any case, I did not find the lack of battery to be a limiter since I paired the Ult Tower to my smart projector and enjoyed a family movie night along with karaoke. Once we were done with the projector we played background music on the Ult Tower and I did not have any issues with the sound quality. The sound is on the bass heavy side but this is normal for a party speaker.

This Sony Party Speaker delivers a compelling sound that is second to none. The Sony ULT Tower 10 Party Speaker features a 12.6-inch woofer, 2 Mid-range speakers, and four tweeters. Together, they produce rich, deep bass and clear, crisp treble. The speaker came with a wireless microphone, an optical cable, and a power cord. The ULT button on the speaker's top side controls two different sound modes. Press the ULT button once, and it activates ULT1 Mode, which accentuates deeper, lower-frequency bass. Pressing the same button again activates ULT2 Mode, which gives you a more pronounced, powerful, punchy bass. I recently used the speaker at a school volleyball game. The sound emanating from the speaker amazingly filled the school's gymnasium. The students and school faculty enjoyed the speaker's sound (voice and music) and ambient multicolor lights. The Sony ULT speaker weighs approximately 63 lbs and is approximately 43 inches tall. The ambient multicolor lights sync appealingly with the music. In the dark, it swells your space with color. The speaker has two nicely placed compartments. The top compartment controls a second microphone or a guitar connection and a level knob to control the volume. The second compartment is in the rear of the speaker. It houses controls for a USB, an Optical connection, and an audio in jack. I used that compartment to connect the speaker to my television using the Optical cord to watch and listen to music videos. This compartment also has a port for a USB or portable audio device. The USB connection also serves as a charging port for a portable and compatible USB device. The speaker's top has a panel that controls the use of the wireless microphone. With just one touch, you can include echo features that affect your voice when you sing or speak. There is also a key control on the same panel. I used it to change the key of a song I sang. The touch panel has another feature. It lets you activate or deactivate the TV Sound Booster function. The speaker's aesthetics are appealing. The body is black and is made of high-quality plastic with handles that can be used to move the speaker by rolling it using the plastic wheels attached to the bottom of the speaker. The Sony ULT Tower 10 Party Speaker looks excellent in any setting. The pairing of my Bluetooth device was effortless. I downloaded the suggested Sony Music Center App and was able to navigate the different features of the app to control the speaker (music, lights, equalizer). As mentioned above, I especially enjoyed the TV Sound Booster function in the app. It enhanced the sound of the audio-visual content of my favorite videos. The bass was deep, and the high-pitched sounds were realistic and genuine. I felt like I was immersed in a music arena. The Sony Music Center app automatically integrated my cellular phone music library and two music apps. The app also included a feature called "Fiestable." I used "Fiestable" to enjoy karaoke, DJ effects, and speaker light control. The speaker also offers the ability to connect two Bluetooth devices concurrently, which lets you play music from one device to another without reestablishing Bluetooth connections. Overall, all of the speaker functions worked seamlessly. The Sony ULT 10 Bluetooth Speaker is an excellent Bluetooth speaker with the exceptional sound and premium build quality. This speaker will provide you with years of enjoyment.
