This is the same housing that comes with the Sony Action camera, but it has a flat lens door. The OEM unit comes with a curved lens door over the camera lens. The curved lens distorts underwater filming. This unit with the flat door lens fixes that problem. Very reasonable price and good down to 197 ft!

The case is much better than original case. This case is much sturdier and provides a secure latch with a water tight seal. This case allows for a clear and non warped image while underwater. Very please with case excellent addition to Sony line up for action cam.

This is an excellent item able to waterproof my action cam really well and allows me to go to a deeper depth went scuba diving in. Much better than the one that is supplied with the action cam which only goes a third of the depth.

Delivers a HD picture from underwater. Used it in moderate surf; durable, no water entered the case nor did case fog up. Attached a floaty to it and let it drift in the tide; got some real cool footage

bought for underwater use to 120 ,' price was right . if it floods i did not spend much $129.00 .no color lenses for deep water or shallow, dive case was an extra 50.00, go pro 4 @ $400.00 with case and 2 lenses much better .i have both. most people use go pro and i have not seen any sony cams on any trips.sony does have underwater mode built in but i think for shallow water only pink - shallow red - deep

Works fantastic for underwater. The image is far sharper than with the stock case. I just wish the front square was a little smaller however I think it is the size it is for the filters. Highly recommended for underwater video / photo.

It makes the camera a little bit bulkier but it is well worth having it on. Makes the depth range of the camera much deeper! Perfect for scuba!

This cover was purchased to water proof an action camera for the purpose of taking underwater video while snorkeling. I picked this particular model because it had a flat viewing window (rather than curved because this produces less distortion. It worked as expected but is a bit tricky getting the cover lined up.

When I first bought the case I wasn't sure if it would make much of a difference. It's basically the same as the standard case, but the flatter face makes a huge difference. Video is much better underwater with this case.

I enjoy this housing. It makes it easy to use. Slim doesn't float off when diving.

Purchased this case cause it was on sale otherwise I wouldn't have because it's pretty expensive for something that should have came with the camera but it does what it's supposed to and doesn't fog up like the round water resistant housing.

This works so well and the picture comes out amazing!

I bought the housing for a few snorkels trips in the Caribbean. I was able to capture green sea turtles feeding and coming up for air and able to capture rays swimming and feeding underwater, While it did not come with a grease for the rubber gasket the housing provided adequate protection at 15ft underwater. It is rated to go deeper but without an external light you would lose the diversity of colors at depths. If you want to use it for snorkeling or other water sports I completely recommend the housing,

Double check your measurements. This unit is great for after protection while filming on a boat or jet ski, but use caution when snorkeling and such. Make sure you get the seal just right or you'll have a water problem you didn't want. Cover slightly changes the film when you wet so don't expect your picture to be the same with the cover on vs. off (duh!).

Doesn't leak, and doesn't distort the video. Great product for the Sony action cam!

If you own any one of Sony's action cameras, you should consider buying this waterproof case. The bare camera is only splashproof. I plan to mount my camera on my car and this should ensure out stays protected. It's very easy to install and it provides access to the camera controls. Great buy!

My teenage son is quit the photographer and loves this camera! It works great and takes awesome photos!!
