Has aluminum back. Well crafted. Some reviews on other websites think it looks dated...but I think it stands out.. Pros. Current nougat installation. For $249 on sale a quality buy. Responsive to the touch. Appears Sony will force updates as soon as possible as google is doing with pixel phones so phone will be secure. Cons. NO finger print reader battery not as good as iPhone but will easily make it though the day with medium use...very happy with product

This phones features are absolutely amazing for the price. The camera is superbly better than any phone in the price range you would buy from a provider. Plenty of space too! The only issue I have is the screen goes all the way to the edges so phone cases do cover a small portion of it. If this wasn't an issue I would award 5 stars.

This is my first Sony phone, and overall I'm very pleased with it. I just wish it was a little shorter in length and had a fingerprint sensor. Battery life on this phone is excellent. I'm not a power user, so I can go all day and still have 40% left. I had a Samsung Note 4 before, and I like this phone much better.

I had the Xperia XA1 before returning it. It seems that its better to get a 1-2 year old flagship phone over a current mid-range phone if the price is comparable. Long term durability/stability/performance unknown.

When I start using it I get some problems due the design, its a litte bit charped on the corners but the edge is so soft, I noticed sometimes it gets hot when I'm using it, but I think is notting to get worry about. The camera is awsome is fast and ligth. I like the design and the texture.

This is my first Sony phone purchase. Went back a forth about changing from a Samsung galaxy however you can't beat the price savings and the camera is so much better. Still working through some of the minor cosmetic things I'm not enjoying yet overall happy with saving the extra $500.

I bought this phone as a budget replacement to a failed Samsung Note 4 for my wife. She LOVES the camera. It is very detailed with the pixels and the device runs smooth. If you land the phone for around $240 like I did it's a good deal. Updates quickly and quality is nice for the price.

My husband and I decided to purchase unlocked phones from best buy instead of getting one through a carrier. We found these Sony XA1 phones and fell in love. Not only were they 1/3 of the price of a Samsung or IPhone, they looked amazing and had great if not better stats than those of Samsung or iPhone products. Screen is clear and crisp colors, pictures are really clear and vibrant, and navigation is great. The Only con that I would Have is the lack of accessories such as cases. But I'm not going to dock the actual product a star for that.

The camera is the best feature, I like that it is Google enabled.

I think this phone is awesome. Build quality is great. Price point is great. But I had to update the #### out of it when I first booted it up. Hour and a half? Multiple Updates? Ugh. But otherwise right on target. And classic Sony all around. Including slow update times.

Excellent camera, good phone for the price. Got a couple of good years out of it before the touch screen started losing sensitivity along the edges.

I wanted to upgrade my phone but didn't want to pay closet $1000 for a remade phone. I asked for some advice and wanted to stick with android. The manager pointed me towards this one. It's a solid phone with metal backing. Nice memory capacity. The only thing I miss from my Note 4 is the processing speeds.

I did a lot of research before buying this phone, both the positives and the negatives bt so far this has been a gd phone for me. I have a bunch of apps that works perfect. Love the camera sounds and everything abt it. I dont play games so the battery has been awesome, last for two days wth one ful charge and avg use. Bt i usually charge everynight.

Good solid phone. Not gargantuan for small hands. I like that it came with the newest OS, and it didn't break the bank.

I think the only good thing about this phone is the camera and the fact that it is a smartphone. You can use apps on it. If you depend on google maps or any GPS navigation apps, this is not a good phone. The GPS tracker can sometimes be out of wack. Sometimes, it is hard to connect to wifi. I would click connect to a certain wifi network, and it would not connect.

Does what it is supposed to very well. Good voice quality when using speaker. Decent battery life. Easy set up and easy to use. Accurate voice recognition.

for the price this is one of the best phones out there, got this for wife takes better pics than a $800 iPhone.

One of the best phones out there with one of the best camera's in the market definitely recommend to any hobbyists photographers out there!
