Good smartphone with decent price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used this phone for a little more than 2 weeks, and honestly, I'm satisfied with it more than what I expected. I'm not really interested in getting high-end smartphone, but I needed a decent smartphone that has enough storage and better camera. I have been basically using one of those free smartphones, so anything would have been an upgrade. I wasn't willing to pay above $300 nor wanted to be bound to any contracts, so this phone turned out to be a solution. I simply moved my old SIM card and transferred all my contacts and data from my previous phone. By the way, it is super easy to transfer your old data to this new phone that anyone can do it themselves. I didn't want to give 5 stars because I'm slightly disappointed at the camera - day time shots are phenomenal, but night time shots have some noise and the front facing camera can get really blurry. However, I did not want to give 4 stars either based on the quality of the phone and its price, so there it is. 5 stars for Sony Xperia XA1.

Manufacturing defect - Sony won't accept an recall
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this phone since i wanted to switch to android. The phone looks beautiful and is amazing to hold and is fast enough for a mid-range. During the initial setup, i did notice the edges of the screen to have less sensitivity compared to the rest of the screen surface. The edges gradually started losing all the sensivity and within a month, it was difficult to type the letters p, q or the backspace key or even the back button since they fall on the edges of the screen. I called the customer service only to know they don't have a service center in USA and to ship the phone which they will try to repair. So, a brand new phone bought a month back will now be a refurbished phone after it is shipped back. Anyways, I had to ship the phone to them. Its been a week now and i am still waiting without a phone. On looking up online, i am not the only one with this problem and it is not region specific. Customers across the globe are complaining and there hasn't been any official statement from Sony due to this phone being mid-range. I wouldn't recommend buying this phone or any Sony phone due to quality issues and non-existent customer service. Best buy should do their own quality control before placing any electronic products on the shelf.

Great Phone for a small price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Husband and I bought 2 of these, one black and one pink. we also did not want to get another Samsung that are outrageously expensive. These phones are great! Android 7.0, They are super fast and are not bogged down by all of the carrier bloat wear. Has a great camera (you have to turn on the high def setting to get the 23 mp quality). I put an extra 64 gb SD card in my phone for some extra space. the ONLY thing that I am not crazy about is that the charger is the type c charger, but I like the versatility of the charger being able to go in easily. I use it on the AT&T network with no issues. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a new phone.

Nice Compact Phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the phone for 2 weeks now and love it. It's a great small phone for those that don't want a phablet - easy to use one-handed & fits in a pocket well. Other than that it's also pretty quick and plays games well. Absolutely no complaints so far!

Very good phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from a Moto X, the XA1 took a little while to get used to. Overall it is a fantastic phone. I'm with Straight-Talk, so I just simply inserted my SIM and that was it. The front facing camera sucks.

Worst Mobile ever bought
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this mobile by considering brand Sony as it is known for its quality, but I got totally disappointed. first problem started after 15 days of purchase which was I was not able to receive any call even if there is nework showing on my mobile. And best buy doesnt allow return after 15 days so I was stucked and thought will deal with it some how change my mobile carrier but didn't work. Second problem started after few days mobile screen has lost its responsiveness, it doesn't respond to it finger taps or makes false selections which is bad now I cant use my mobile at all and it cost me $299 it seems I completely lost it. I will never go for any sony mobile and will not recommend to any one ever.

Great until screen lost touch, 5+ weeks for Sony
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive been somewhat of a Sony phone fan since my amazing experience with the Z3 Compact. But being a little more budget minded in 2017, I decided to go for the XA1. It was a smooth transition and things were going well until around 5 months when the screen lost sensitivity along the outer edges (number 1 or 0, letter Q or P were almost impossible to press). I contacted Sony and initially it seemed like the warranty process would be a simple 2 week turn around... except its now 5+ weeks since I sent in my phone & Sony tech support keep giving me a new excuse. So I can only suggest you avoid this phone (screen touch issue) and avoid Sony phones (bad tech support/warranty).

Phone broke within a few months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.my phone broke overnight (I did not do anything wrong) & in order to get it fixed I have to send it Sony which takes 14 days to repair and they do NOT send a replacement. So, for 14 days you are expected to not have a phone. The service is terrible and this phone is not worth it. Just go with Samsung or Google.
