I've had my Sony Z3V for around 3 months and I will say it is a great phone. I appreciate the expandable memory. Also it has a nice screen. It's a full 1080p on a 5.2 inch screen (the iPhone 6 plus has the same number of pixels on a 5.5 inch screen). Big differentiator here is the camera. 20.7 megapixels. It's among the best cameras on a smartphone on the market. Also the battery life I find to be amazing. I know a number of people with iPhones who need to recharge their phone mid-day. I'm usually good for 2 full days before recharging, or one day if I use it heavily. I will note that it does not have a removable battery, but I can't imagine needing one. Another thing I like about it (which it is superior from my previous phone) is its ability to play videos of a variety of common video file types. I like to watch videos on my phone, which was a big reason why I got such a large one. I can put a video file on my SD card, pop it in the phone, and play. Takes maybe 5 seconds. Always seems to play without issue. I know that sounds minor but my last phone had trouble with any file type other than AVI. The current buying options aren't the best. I got it for $50 on a 2 year upgrade and current pricing has it as $200 on a 2 year. At that price I'd have considered the Samsung S6 or Note 4, but at a lower price point I don't think you could have found a better phone.

This is a high end quality built phone from the front and back tempered glass panels to the aluminum frame side with rounded corners it just looks and feels awesome.The 1080p screen looks very nice and the photo and video quality are some of the best I have seen. Battery life is great lasting two days with modest use. Do not over look this phone if you are looking at iPhone or one of the samsung models this one deserves to be put in with all the others.

This is phone is by far the best smartphone I ever had. I can do everything on this phone. Never knew Sony made cell phones. Love my phone.

I purchased this phone specifically because it was advertised as "waterproof." Not water resistant, but waterproof. I had the phone for about a month and it was decent, a bit clunky for me and not as fast as I hoped with a poor battery life. But hey, it was waterproof! I dunked it fully underwater and it came up working just fine. A few weeks later a friend was amazed when I explained it was waterproof, so I dunked it under water again, for maybe 2 full seconds, and when I pulled it up the screen was black. I tried to revive it, but it was totally dead. I brought it back to the store and explained that none of the ports were open because I NEVER opened anything on the phone. I have a wireless charger specifically so I never had to open and close the charger port. And always double checked everything before getting it even near water. Because the warranty is theirs, we got Sony on the phone. Their customer service was HORRIBLE. Long story short I handed the phone over to the Verizon employee and asked her to help me because I was going to lose it on this guy, and 5 minutes later she was screaming at him because he was so useless. We explained the full story to him, and he sent a shipping label for me to mail my phone to Sony in Texas for repair or replacement. 3 weeks later I got the phone back in the mail with a note that said there was water damage, so it was unrepairable. Of course there was water damage!!! That was the whole point. This "waterproof" phone died in 2 seconds of submersion about 8 inches underwater. And Sony did NOTHING to help or stand by their product. Instead saying that I must have done something wrong. But I didn't, I know I didn't, and I specifically went out of my way not to risk the seals. And the phone still died. Maybe it was a lemon, but either way, know before you purchase this phone that Sony will do NOTHING to help you if something goes wrong, and that there's at least a chance that you end up stuck having to buy another phone because you were careless enough to believe that Sony would make a good product and stand by it. Quick thanks to Verizon for seeing how ridiculous the situation was, making things right for me, and the manager putting in a request to his regional manager that they stop carrying the phone after being involved in this situation.

I bought this phone upgrading from and IPhone it's sucks you know where nothing is. The only good thing about this phone is that's it's waterproof.
