Entertaining movie subbed and dubbed to easy enough to watch

Enjoyed the action and animation. It was fun to watch!

I hadn't even heard they were making a live action adaption of this japanamtion story from my childhood. It really took me back.

I had heard of this movie since I knew about the anime. It was much better than I expected and it looked amazing.

If you are a fan of the anime, you will enjoy this.

I've wanted to see this movie for a long time but it was only available for Region B. Glad I can now watch it in Region A.

Loved the old cartoon, couldnt pass this up when i saw it. Its a legit blockbuster styled movie of an anime classic.

Great live action version of Starblazers with a couple of minor changes that did not hurt the story.

I remember the cartoon and this movie was good, but not as good as the cartoon. But it was good, LoL

Based on the anime of the same name (Also know as "Battle For The Planets" here in the USA) Yamato does it's best to adapt the important plot points from the source material, but the film forgets to build up it's characters in the process, enemies become friends in a blink of an eye, our hero becomes part of the mission, because... he just does. Instead of a sci-fi adventure with great characters we're left with a sci-fi adventure with archetypes. The space battles range from okay, to pretty fun, the effects are all over the place, ranging from great to psx level cg graphics. I recommend it for fans of the source material only.

i used to watch the tv series, the cartoons series that is, and i have to say i enjoyed this movie

loved the cartoon series and was excited to see this live action film. No to shabby could of been done better with a Hollywood budget I bet. Please redo in a two or three part movie. I bet it would catch a new generation.

Watched like a typical Japanese flick. The story does seem to have strong parallels to WWII: An overwhelming opposing force slowly surrounding the area, the nuclear bombing of Japan, and the Yamato's final suicide mission.

A great live action remake of an Anime Classic. With its own twists and turns

This is good movie made for fans of the Japanese Show from back int he day. Graphics are the only part I think could be better but most countries don't put million of millions of dollars into a film production.

Loved the Anime back when I was a child. Happy to see a live action version. Very well done!
