i enjoyed it because it wasnt the worst. of daniel craig's run as bond, i thought casino royale was great but quantum and skyfall were lacking. spectre had enough story and action to move the show along without having the film drag. good writing also effectively ties the films in this volume together. i didnt think spectre took too many risks, but rather played it safe with an usual bond formula. there were still great scenes/stunts/moments/callbacks to make it an enjoyable adventure. but go judge for yourself.

Daniel Craig's fourth - and final(?) - film as 007

The producers of "Spectre" have spared no budgetary expense in producing their latest - and possibly Daniel Craig's last - agent 007 film. As James Bond, Craig gives a brilliant performance in outwiting his most dangerous and cunning nemesis yet. And "technology" has again "blown us away" with the spectacular action scenes; hard to believe so much of it produced inside a computer graphics program. For action junkies and "007" enthusiasts, a must not miss movie!

Who wouldn't like a story about SPECTRE! I couldn't give it 5 stars because it was a bit choppy going from scene to scene. Hopefully, they release a director's cut which fills in some of the gaps. I felt that Daniel Craig didn't have his heart in it except for the beginning and the ending but I hope he continues on as Bond and there are more confrontations with Blofeld. When it was over, I immediately reacted with the hope they will redo 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' to get Craig's enthusiasm back.

I would say this Bond film is par for the franchise. It would have to be exceptional in order to surpass Skyfall which in my opinion is Daniel Craig's best Bond film. Christoph Waltz role as the villain was good, but the ending felt anticlimactic with more to be desired. The opening scene however was the best opening I can ever recall for the franchise. Leagues better than Quantum of Solace, overall it's not on the level of Casino Royale or even close to Skyfall but it will entertain you none the less.

The movie itself was a lot of fun. I wish that Daniel Craig will do a few more 007 movies before stepping down from the role that he has played so well. I definitely have enjoyed the new storyline that has been spun from "Casino Royale" onward. Aside from that, the features offered on the Blu-Ray were great. (Commentaries, Making of, lots of special features included) As with any Blu-Ray disc, the quality of the visual content is crisp, clear and full.

When I see a movie in the theaters I usually buy the movies on Blue Ray when the come out. However I'm sad to say I didn't see Spectre in the theaters. Which is why I purchases this movie on DVD. Over all I was satisfied with this movie. I still say that Casino Royal is the best Daniel Craig Bond movie out of his serious. But Sean Connery is the best Bond with Pierce Brosnan as the second best.

Disappointing after all the build up and hype

In my opinion Daniel Craig's weakest portrayal in the series, ranks close to Quantum of Solace. Casino Royale is by far the best Bond for Craig and I believe of all the Bond movies, even Connery's; so I had high hopes for Craig to go out with a bang, as there was great potential in the story of how Spectre began and how Bond became "Bond". However, a strong storyline never developed: the screenplay is weak, the action scenes are not on par with the rawness of the Casino Royale script or visuals, which really encapsulated Bond essence from the Fleming book but brought a modern, brutal and harder edge. Spectre took a backward step in having Bond become part of a story that plodded along stitched together disjointedly, with predictable action sequences and unimpressive dialogue to an unbelievable conclusion, where Bond Leaves Blofeld alive and drives off into the sunrise with a girl half his age. It would have been much better to leave the story hanging, unknown if Bond survives or not; something like Holmes and Moriarty at the Richenbach Falls perhaps, leading the way for a new Bond to rise. One can only hope with the next Bond rendition, that his idyllic life is shattered by Blofeld killing his new love, bringing Bond back from the brink from the life of the mundane. In summary, you have to watch the movie even if just to say you have seen them all. Hopefully, Spectre the movie will fade away and the next movie takes the Bond character to new highs.

Another great Bond film with Daniel Craig

Since Daniel Craig took over the lead in the Bond series the movies have been more serious, closer to what is believable and action packed with not just stunts but great fight scenes. This film has a dark undertone to it similar to Skyfall and goes on to fill in more of the backstory of Bond himself. This and all previous films have had the same organization as the enemy and Spectre ties it all together nicely with a few unexpected surprises.

Not the best of the Daniel Craig Bond films. The opening set piece is great but the story falls apart in the middle third.

As a James Bond buff, I enjoyed the film in the theatre and wanted it at home, as well. I bought this at Best Buy vs. Target for the packaging (steelbox). However, there was nothing exceptional about what was contained with the packaging! The steel box is nice, but I usually buy the blu-ray plus dvd, as I have one player that is non blu ray. This packaging didn't have it. In the future, I would like to have the packaging with the 2 DVD set, and perhaps some inserts about the movie, etc.

Having grown up with the Bond Series from the beginning, I was a little disappointed in this movie. Action packed and amazing Bond skills as usual, but slightly difficult plot to follow. Did not keep my interest and I nodded off - probably at a bad time. Really like Daniel Craig and looking forward to the Next Bond movie. Hoping to get enough sleep before the next one!

Spectre starts out with one of the very best action packed beginnings of any Bond movie. And the quality continues through a very enjoyable story. Casino Royale is still the best Daniel Craig installment (and best Bond movie IMO), with this second, Skyfall third, and Quantum as last. Good quality BluRay and happy to have the digital copy.

If you have a movie collection then James Bond needs to be somewhere in there. I was going to wait and get the 4K version but the standard Blu-ray is just as good. I like these movies because you can have them on in the background and look up to catch a good scene or listen to the suspenseful music in the background.

I have always been a James Bond fan and probably always will be. Daniel Craig may say this is his last time as Bond and if it is then he is going out on a high note. The locations are spectacular, the cars are amazing, the henchman is perfect, and Bond doesn't let you down on the action. I saw this on the IMAX when it came out and it was breathtaking. Here on the small screen in Blu-ray is just as amazing. A must-have for any Bond fan.

The disc includes a digital copy which was nice while we were traveling. The disc itself includes some special features which are pretty cool. The making of featurettes are always impressive for the later Bond films when you consider what went into making them. This was the most expensive Bond ever, and maybe most expensive film of all time (did I read that?), and the behind the scenes really illustrate well where all the money went!

Once again, Daniel Craig reprises his outstanding role of James Bond in SPECTRE. He is sexy and fierce, doing his own stunts with the requisite Bond wit and charm. Christof Waltz. is outstanding as the head of SPECTRE and it's on in a fast pace tour de force. While Skyfall is perhaps my favorite (along with Dame Judy Dench), the new characters in this film are well acted and move this franchise along a new and exciting path.

I'm a huge James Bond fan and I really like how the Daniel Craig series has gone (with the huge exception of Quantum of Solace). In my opinion this could have been one of the best Bond films except the ending really fell apart (plot wise). Simply too hard to buy in on the "connection" between Bond and Blofeld and it really seemed contrived.. I really want to see more Spectre and Blowfeld in future Bond movies, but the way this one ended seems to preclude this from happening..

I have seen every 007 film ever made, and I think, with Sean Connery a close second, that Daniel Craig is the perfect fit for the role of James Bond. The action is exceptional, the sound of course is great, and the filming locations are all beautifully filmed. I bought the movie so I could see it for the first time on my home theater system, and it was a great experience. Highly recommended whether you're a Bond aficionado or not.

Daniel Craig is the best of the new era of BOND! Connery will always be Bond, James Bond, But Daniel Craig brings that something extra to the role, The women love him & the men want to be him, Being an MI6 Double 0 has never looked so good or has never been this exciting, As a Bond fan I can only hope Craig will stay for at least one more film or if he is replaced they come up with someone just as suave & perfect for the role!!
