Great Show
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In some ways typical Bond flick, other ways a step up. Never thought that Daniel Craig would be a good replacement for the other Bonds through the years but has done an admirable job. One of the must see bonus features on the Blu-ray is how they filmed the opening sequence of the movie, 1500 REAL people extras, complete with wardrobe & make up.

An exciting and suspenseful film.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think that "Spectre" was one of the many greatest James Bond films of all-time and it was one of my many favorite James Bond films. I really enjoyed this film's plot, storyline, drama, mystery, action and suspense that made "Spectre" a very entertaining, amazing and enjoyable film. I also think that this film had a really great cast as well.

Beautiful alternative to the standard cover
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This isn't a review for the movie, but rest assured: SPECTRE is among the best 007 films! As for the steelbook edition, I bought it simply because I though the gunshot with the subtle Spectre octopus emblem was so much better and more enigmatic than the dinner jacket Bond with Day of the Dead Bond that was used for the standard video cover.

Not the Best of the Craig Bonds
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first, many carped about the casting of Daniel Craig as Jamers Bond, however from the very start of Casino Royale it was clear Craig was a new Bond for a new era and the fit was perfect. Indeed, his first 3 outings as 007 have all proven to be both exciting and thought provoking. Unfortunately, this fourth installment does not live up to the standards set by the previous three. This is not to say that Craig does a poor job,for he does not, and there are plenty of well choreographed action sequences, and yet the total effect of the film is not equal to the sum of its parts. Something is missing here, some spark or bit of magic that keeps this film from being as good as the others. Daniel Craig is an excellent actor, but perhaps he is correct in saying it is time for him to move on. The Blu-ray itself looks great and the audio is superb, so no complaints there. And, compared to some of the earlier films in the Bond franchise, this is certainly a well crafted and fun ride, but, for me at least, Casino Royale remains the best of the Daniel Craig Bonds.

another good jbond flick
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.probably not as good as skyfall, but still a pretty entertaining movie. i'm not a super critical person, but i definitely think i get my money's worth in entertainment here. hard to go wrong to watch a movie with this sound and video quality in the comfort of your own home without being disturbed by the distractions of a packed movie theater.

Not Skyfall
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Spectre is an excellent film but not up to the high standard set by Skyfall. The storyline seems at times forced and the decisions made by Bond are strikingly out of character though the writers may be trying to take Bond in a new direction. The movie does make a valiant attempt to tie things up for Daniel Craig even though he is supposedly under contract for a fifth Bond film.

A decent Bond Movie, and a great Bond actor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do love the intro scene, so long and uncut, beautiful. It was a bit of a stretch to make this one try and tie the other movies together, but it didn't detract from the action. Still doesn't have the feel of Casino Royale, which is by far my favorite Bond movie. Of the Daniel Craig Bond movies, I like Casino Royale and this one.

Bond is Back
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great movie and I thought I was in a cinema watching the blue ray disc on my 80" HDTV with surround sound. Picture quality is excellent as well as the sound quality. Plot not as good as Casino Royale (the Craig version, not the older one) nor the previous film. But, you get the Bond dose of exotic locations, fast cars, gorgeous women and immediate action. What more is needed?

SteelBook is always nice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like the title says having a steelbook is nice, and the 3D bullet hole is a nice touch. Honestly I haven't been able to watch the film but as the previous Bond films this shouldn't disappoint. Daniel Craig is a great bond and at least for my generation the best Bond. As always audio and video quality should be great as expected for blu-ray.

Great Value
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It seems this steelbook might have been removed from Best Buy's website/search but I came across it in-store along with quantum of solace. If you are a fan of other 007 films you will enjoy this one and should go for the premium casing if available.

Easily the best Bond movie in recent years.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fourth outing of Daniel Craig as Bond is easily the best movie of his portrayal of James Bond as it ties together his earlier three. That has never been done before with any of the previous Bonds which makes Daniel Crain's quartet even more meaningful. The re-introduction of a major villain adds a very refreshing taste of old and new.

Bonded Again!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is another installment of Daniel Craig as James Bond. As with any character portrayal, you either like him or dislike him. Spectre is one that everyone should like as it explains a lot about the origins of Spectre. It is a typical, fast-moving story that will keep your attention from beginning to end. A must have for any Bond fan!

Bond returns to Greatness!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recommend watching (or re-watching) the four Daniel Craig Bond movies as they are a foursome of the best Bond movies ever. They tip their hat to the over-indulgent, glib Bond movies (Moore, Dalton & Brosnan) and both return to and improve on the promise of the early Connery Bond flicks! This film is a great finish to the Craig Bond !!

Falls short of greatness
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes, Spectre's predecessor, Skyfall, was one of the all-time great Bond films. Spectre is not. The set up is there, and while most of this film is pretty great, the last 20 minutes or so are a bungled mess. A really lame, uninspired ending to what could've been even better than Skyfall. Absolutely worth watching, but with a stronger script it could've been that much better.

This is a new classic Bond.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are a fan of the classic Sean Connery era Bond you will enjoy this movie. I found myself watching for the nods to the previous movies as much as following the plot of the movie. If you are a fan of only the newer Daniel Craig grittier more modern Bond, this movie is not for you. This movie completely turned away from what had been developed in the newer Bond Movies.

Not the best, but not the worst
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this is a good James Bond film. For the Daniel Craig era, it is not as good as Casino Royale and not as bad as Quantum of Solace. While I thoroughly enjoyed most of the actions scenes especially the opening scene, there were a couple of cringe-worthy moments that almost made me stop watching. Ultimately this is a good entry in the series but could have been better.

Bond, explosions & a Pretty Woman
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not the best or the worst Bond movie. Lots of special effects on fights & explosions, of course. Some cute snark between Bond, Q & the new M. Bond rides off into the sunset in his restored Aston-Martin (Thanks, Q) with a female by his side, done being a spy forever...Riiight! I expect another Bond movie will begin shooting soon, with or without Daniel Craig.

SPECTRE IS BOND
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Despite its problems, Spectre is a Bond film, and Bond fans are loyal. With repeat viewings, I suspect that Spectre's flaws will retreat from attention, and fans will concentrate on individual sequences that are memorable, primarily in the film's first half. Though light on extras, the Blu-ray is a first-rate production and recommended.
