    Excellent Action

This movie has all of the elements of a James bond movie that I expect and are looking for when I sit down to watch the double O go to work. It starts out with a slick little interaction that seems somewhat disjointed from the expected story but like usual will tie into the main plot. The locations were as expected very pretty or at least interesting. Like usual this bond has minimal gadgets, or at least "typical" toys and since I started my Bond watching days on the Moore run of films I do miss the more outlandish of them.

    Great Picture/Sound, So-So Film

The blu-ray presentation is phenomenal. The picture quality is out of this world, with no perceptible artifacts, banding, aliasing, etc. I watched this on a 120" screen, and the detail was incredible. The sound is also great; lots of highs, lows, and a moderate amount of surround activity (7.2 speaker system). The film itself is alright. As far as the Craig Bond films go, I'd rate it right on par with Skyfall, but obviously below Casino Royale, and way, way above Quantum of Solace. Pop this blu-ray in, sit back, and enjoy a fun night of Bond-spy adventures.

I don't think that SPECTRE is the best Daniel Craig Bond flick. For me, that will probably always be CASINO ROYALE. I do think SPECTRE, is a very ambitious attempt to re-boot the villainous organization committed to ruling the world through technology. Unfortunately, not as far fetched as many people believe. So, while the action involved may be typical over-the-top Bond. The focus on the idea of such a controlling organization as SPECTRE is well done also. I waited for the steelbook to become available because I like the minimalist picture. Good combination.

This is the fourth installment of the reboot seried, and Daniel Craig pulls off a masterfull performance, once again as Britain's greatest secret agent. I'd rate this one right up there with Skyfall, which makes Quantum of Solace the weakest of the series. The opening sequence will have you hooked, and the stuntwork and appropriate action scenes are deeply involved. Nothing says Bond like fast cars, and this one does not disappoint. Definitely a good departure, although you do miss Judy Dench's M, and scowling face.

    Bond Never Quits

James Bond aka Daniel Craig never quits in this 4th and latest offering. The franchise has alway's been faithful to the opening frenetic scenes leading up to those fabulous collages and the Title Song by a known music artiste. Needless to say, the story lines never grow old and alway's refreshing. Love the Cars, the Girls, the Villians, the Locations and more importantly Bond's WaltherPPK ! Spectre is a familiar organization to we the Bond Fans. Hoping Mr Craig continues his fine work with future 007 projects

The special features really make it...

Even though it was underrated during it's theatrical release, this was a very likable, topically relevant, and riveting movie. Like any Bond film, S.P.E.C.T.R.E. is filled with action, intrigue, suspense, and seduction (as well as the requisite beautiful women and cars), but the added special features on the Blu-Ray are what really make it worth the price of admission (purchase). With great featurettes on the cars, gadgets, costuming, and the largest opening sequence ever in a Bond film, you won't regret adding this Blu-Ray to your personal collection.

When Daniel Craig took over as 007, they pretty much did a reboot to the whole franchise. Not only as a re-telling of the storyline but they updated the story to modern times, from the beginning (otherwise, Bond would be close to 100 years old by now). Daniel Craig has done a wonderful job as 007, IMHO, and has come to a very close portrayal of my favorite Bond actor, Sean Connery! I'm hoping Daniel Craig will sign up for more Bond roles as his contract terms have now been fulfilled as Bond.

I was never a big fan of the 007 franchise until I saw Daniel Craig replace Pierce Brosnan in James Bond. However, I can say now I'm a huge fan and I thought Spectre was a good way to end Craig's era as 007. Spectre was a great way to recap Craig's history as an agent and although the movie's villain did lack a little thrill, it was still well put in regards to putting all the pieces together beginning back from Casino Royale. Overall it was good, but I'd recommend watching all three prior movies to get a full understanding of Spectre's storyline.

I'm a huge fan of the James Bond franchise. SPECTRE easily ranks in the better half of the 24 films of the official franchise. This Blu-ray was going into my collection regardless, but I was a little disappointed in the special features (or lack thereof) on the disc. There's one great feature about the making of the opening sequence, but after that it's slim pickens, especially considering there's not even a commentary track. If you're looking for more than a few video blogs then I would wait and hope the next blu ray release has more to offer.

I have seen every Bond film since Dr. No (The first Bond film). Every actor to play the part since Connery has done a good job. Not as good as Connery in my opinion, but things were different in that time. Spectre has been one of the better films with Daniel Craig as Bond. This one is full of special effects that are believable but not so over the top as in other recent films. This story goes somewhat quicker and smoother than some of the previous Bond films with Mr. Craig. All I can say is I enjoyed the film and hope you will as well.

    Great looking Steelbook

Of course you can see other reviews for the movie itself. This review is for the Steelbook, which looks great. The front cover has the "teaser" poster, with the bullet hole and the shattering effect. On this front cover the bullet hole is actually indented into the case for a more realistic effect. My Steelbook came with a digital copy also.

Other than the forgettable opening title song, this movie continues with the excellent action and acting characterized by almost all of the movies in the James Bond series. Daniel Craig continues to pull off a great Bond. My only regret is that the main villain was portrayed by the same actor that played Moriarty in the Sherlock Holmes BBC shows - I felt he had to be the villain of the piece from the moment I saw him. Still, his acting, too, was excellent and lent power to this film.

I already own the blu ray-bought it when it first came out. I liked the packaging n have a few steelbooks set aside. Whether they are a long term investment or not Imdo not know. But I buy when I think the price is right and am slowly building up a nice collection. Note-for all said steelbooks it'd be nice to have some wall display frames for them. I have 7 Star wArs steels n ive seen others that as a movie fan some of these i think it'd be neat to show em off from time to time to friends

Simply put, I believe a lot of people have been (critics too) bashing the latest James Bond movie Spectre for no reason. The series just seems to be moving back to a place where story and espionage is key, not over the top action pieces (even though there are some, come on, it's JB!). I for one, enjoyed the story and the connect the dots part that reached back to Casino Royale (you'll see, no spoilers). Worst case, rent it, Dan Craig fan, no brainer, James Bond fan, buy it already!

James Bond is back, but this time it's lacking in the story department. The action scenes are done with perfection as you would expect from any Bond, but since we all have received the gift called Skyfall, we should all expect a Bond film as good as the last. This one didn't quite do it. You will still enjoy the thrills and the performances, but this is not Skyfall. Then again, is any of them comparable to each other? Spectre is almost as good as Skyfall though and way better than Quantum... The sound on the bluray is thunderous.

People seem to be bagging on Spectre a bit and I'm not sure why. Perhaps because it suffers in comparison to Skyfall. But, really, everything is going to look lacking compared to how great Skyfall was. My only issue with it was I thought how the villain was introduced was kind of a reach. But really, that is just nitpicking. When you get right down to it, this movie delivers all the exotic locales, beautiful women and thrilling action that a person could want in a Bond movie.

    The Bond Summary

The best Bond since Sir Sean Connery, Daniel Craig performs astonishes fans & critics alike. Without all the super gizmos save a few believable ones (exploding watch) Mr Craig lives up to the hype of Royal Navy SBS assigned to British Intelligence. Specter also brings to a summerized end to the Craig Bond films. Tying up loose ends(Mr. White) and M's British Bulldog in Bond's apt. All in all an excellent spy thriller worthy of Ian Fleming, Sean Connery and all the spy movies.

Another Great Bond for the Collection

Although I feel Spectre was not as action-y as Skyfall, the story line was much better. What it lacked in action (compared to previous Craig Bond movies) it more than made up for it with a well-rounded developed story that dropped hints of familiarity from previous Bond movies. In Spectre, Bond's character has evolved into a more experienced and polished agent as well. Excellent movie, a must-have, to add to the Craig-Bond collection.

As a standalone action movie this a great movie. As a Bond movie it's still pretty good. Yes there are a ton of nods to the old movies and the script feels forced in trying to tie all the elements of the Craig movies together. Still, even as a lesser of the Craig movies, it's still leagues better than the end of the Brosnan movies. Picture and audio quality are up to series standards with the worst aspect of the release being the terrible Eco case it's packed in. Recommended for fans and non-fans alike.

I grew up on the Sean Connery movies however Daniel Craig comes in at a close second. These movies are much closer to the Ian Fleming Bond and stories. Incredible opening sequence with a special feature that goes into how it was filmed. Great cast. My only disappointment is the theme song. Not very Bond sounding to me. Now Skyfall, that's a James Bond song! If you like the other Craig movies you will definitely want to pick this up as well. Loved the steelbook case!
