Pros: Series Finally on 1080 HD Slipcover Cons: No 5.1 Standard aspect ratio

This is a tricky release to review. While I love Speed Racer and the HD transfer this release was given - the release wasn’t exactly what it was set up to be. Originally stated to have the Japanese subtitles and episodes of the original Mach Go Go Go, the release was then knocked down to only going as far as to support Japanese subtitles with the dub, and then again to only contain the dubbed Speed Racer episodes. This was a shame because the studio then proceeded to put out the Speed Racer/Mach Go Go Go set out months later in a ridiculous collector’s toy-head that costs at least an arm. I hope Mach Go Go Go receives a better and more accessible release, but for now I’m at least happy to own Speed Racer on blu-ray.

One of the greatest animated series ever. Brought back memories of my childhood. Having this series on Blu Ray looks a lot cleaner and a bit sharper than when it was on tv back in the day.

Go Speed Racer GO!!!!!!!, what a classic. great to have only thing missing is a digital code too.

Speed Racer cartoons were the best! He was my childhood hero! The Mach 5 is the best race car to ever be seen! This BluRay really brings out all of the colors of the cartoon.

I enjoy reliving my childhood with this series. I want a Mach 5 of my own with all the devices!!!

It's nice to have all of the original Speed Racer in one package, and this blu-ray set does the trick. Compact with nice packaging.

How I miss the 80's and this brings me back to it so much. Glad they brought out the entire series. Great cartoon and episodes!

I remember watching this with my dad and brother when I was little so seeing it on blu ray made me super happy

We have a young adult who really likes watching speed racer. So when we saw this we knew that they would like it.

I try to buy any old series that they release on Blu Ray. This is just the most recently added to my collection!

This is the classic speed racer anime complete series. This is a must own for any speed racer fan

Watched this with my brothers when we were kids living in Japan. Brings back sweet memories.

One of my favorites. The Japanese certainly have a unique talent with animation. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Speed Racer and Racer X and hope that my children will enjoy it as well.

Essential in any collection. Presentation is stellar. Wish there was bonus features.
