The controls definitely take some time to get used to, but I'm also not a gamer and I would assume that people that are used to controlling items on a screen would pick this up a lot faster. Sphero is so much fun to play around with and we have enjoyed competing in family games. Not to mention how much the cat loves it!

It is truly dog resistant. Ours bats at it and chases it and not signs of damage. I think it may deal well if i left it alone she might chew it but otherwise with genral play not a problem. Having a blast with the programming side to and the many apps. Unfortunately now it is trying to program and mess with it without the dog getting involved. Purely my fault.....

I had been given a Best Buy gift certificate, and wasn't sure what to do with it. But I was in a remote control kind of a mood. Sphero caught my eye because of all the apps and the good reviews. And I was not disappointed. Take it for a spin, and I doubt you will be disappointed either.

My son likes this remote controlled ball that changes color and does cool tricks.

It's expensive, but the battery life is great. Lasts about an hour. There are a lot of apps to control sphero, they all work great. If you love robotics, then you will love this robotic ball. It can take a beating, that is for sure.

Great, my daughter loves it. During 2014-2015 we bought the Dash & Dots; then this school year my daughter's school they teach this Sphero programming thing. I also recommended it to a couple of friends and they loved Best Buy's products as well.

Bought this as a holiday gift for a very-hard-to-shop-for tween boy -- it's awesome. We preloaded the app on his iPod. It was pretty cool seeing it in action and it's held up well to frequent use on carpet, slate tile, and hardwood floors.

I got this for my 14 yo son and i got the Starwars version for my 12 yo daughter. I think that was a good choice since they are very similar toys but the Spero has features with a steeper learning curve. Still, they have not used ether much since getting so may have limited staying power.

My son and I purchased the sphero and the nub cover for it and knew it would be fun, but didn't know it would be this much fun and interactive to play with. We've had a blast playing with it and leveling up with it.. unlocking things for it to do.

My 8 year old son and husband love it! They are all about anything they can control from their ipads. The dog on the other hand is not a fan at all...lol! Definitely recommend buying the cover if you have hardwood floors. Took a little getting used to on the controls but now they are racing it all over the place.

My daughter really likes this toy. But has only scratched the surface of its uses. She has it paired with her iPhone and seemingly is showing me something new with it every couple of days. The dog also has a fun time chasing it around the house. A little expensive, but she seems to be playing with it on a regular basis - at that is what is desired.

The Sphero is amazing but it is not compatible with my android tablet and only with Apple Ipod or Iphone that I know. I would really recommend the Sphero!

The sphero 2.0 is awsome but I dont know why the apps are discontinued. One of the reasons I baut was for the apps not knowing that they discontinued most of them and dont do the ar anymore. But it is still fun to play with

Awesome smart toy! Hours of fun playing with my grandson and Sphero! He chases it around the house for hours until the battery dies.

Took my time evaluating. Have bought many iPhone compatible toys. However this was the best. In fact. It works so well and so much fun that I had to go buy another for my tweener. And 2 months later both 6 and 10 year old play with theirs every chance they get.

My 8yr old son was very excited to receive the Sphero and played with it quite a bit for a few days, but he unfortunately seems to have grown bored with it after a week.

I love this robot! So fun to play with and there are so many apps for it!

Bought this for my 9 year old daughter. She loves it and can program it to do things on her own on the app. Hours of fun! It is durable so it can go outside and roll on the grass and dirt and even get wet.

Robot! It is super fun and easy to play with! I would recommend this to all the geeks out there!

Had seen these on a educational tech site. Love the fact that it works with code teaching apps
