never regretted purchasing... my kids play it almost every day and THEY LOVE IT! i definitely recommend it if you have kids :)

This is a nice alternative for kids that want to play Call of Duty type games with parents that don't want to expose their kids to the violence. Although not a first-person shooter like Call of Duty, it does have other similarities: "shooting" (in this case paint), online matches against other people, and getting experience points for playing and being able to upgrade your gear and weapons at certain levels. Adults can also enjoy it as the gameplay is light-hearted and fun to mess around with.

I needed a break from all the futuristic styled shooters nowadays, and Nintendo delivers with a great and interesting new IP!

A great online multiplayer game for the Wii U. Tons of different weapons and gear to use makes each battle fun and exciting.

My 7 year old absolutely love this game! The brigh colors, graphics, and content keeps him engaged until it's time for snack.

My kids had asked for this game and I kind of resisted. After I learned that it was a Nintendo company title, I decided to buy it. My kids love it and it looks to be a very well put together game.

I picked up the game after it's enormous amount of positive buzz, and boy do i not regret that decision at all. Basically, this game is if you took Team Fortress 2, Super Mario Sunshine, and Jet Set Radio. As crazy as it sounds, it totally works. The main online game mode, Turf Wars, is the core of the Splatoon experience, in which 2 teams of 4 attempt victory by spraying ink all over the map. Character customization options are nice, and single-player campaign is solid as well. Stay Freshhhhhh!

A great way to make a virtual mess and get rewarded for it. Easy enough to play that even an adult can do it. On-line battles are fun once you have leveled up a little and have better equipment.

As a 28 year old gamer, I've grown tired of arena shooters that are all about killing your opponents more than they kill you. It's so refreshing to see an arena shooter swoop in and switch things up. Splatoon is more about painting the arena with your assigned color than it is about directly attacking your opponents. In fact, a team more concerned about painting the arena will always win a against a team more focused on taking out their opponents. Brilliant, fun, and deep, yet casual friendly!

I had doubted the game before the release date but after playing the game I think it's one of the best I've played this year

A silly but fun third person shooter for both kids and kids at heart, sprinkled with Nintendo magic. What more can I say?!

Solid game. I am not a big first person shooter fan, but my kids wanted this game after hearing about it and I am not disappointed. Even I can get into this game. Not just a "shoot 'em up" deal.

Great game..Awesome graphics ..multiplayer interaction via the internet..Only bad thing is (local) multiplayer is limited maybe an update to expand more local co-ops would bring this to 5 stars...

The mutiplayer aspect of this game is amazing. I've been looking for a game that my wife could play, and she loves it.

I really enjoy this game, its not like any shooter I've played before. Its accessible to anyone of any age. Its just fun.

I always have a hard time finding games all my kids can enjoy; ages 15,12, and 5. This one is definately enjoyed by all

Controls take some time to get used to but once you get a hang of it, its fun. The only bad thing I found is that you sort of need one console per player so no fun split screen co op play.

Bought this for my kids and I wound up playing along with them and it's a lot of fun chasing and painting the town away

Very fun and definitely worth buying a Wii U for. The best game of the year.
