Overall, it works as advertised. Setup was a bit difficult as the buttons for setup are underneath the clip for one's belt/pants. The tracking seems accurate, yet there have been several times when the pedometer resets on its own during the day. Not sure how that could happen as in order to reset it, one has to press down the button and hold it for several seconds.
I bought this pedometer as there is a health challenge at my work and part of that includes tracking steps. Many of my co-workers have also purchased pedometers, all of them the Sportline brand, though all for much less money. They all seem to have about the same results: they keep accurate data, yet they spontaneously reset. If I were to purchase again, I would purchase a less expensive version.

Seems to be not all that accurate but does give a rough idea. seems to count random motions as step. Good if you want a rough idea of daily activity

It keeps track of the mileage fine but not the steps - it's too sensitive - if you just move your hand while holding it, it counts as a step - at least double what it should be.

This was a replacement for a pedometer that my wife bought on line for the same price but wanted it right away. The screen froze, New battery did nothing, it went in the trash.

I am still trying to figure out the procedure for setting the unit. The buttons on the reverse side are extremely small and difficult to set.

I was always curious as to how much I walked on an average day at work. I have a job that keeps me on my feet about 90% of the time. Now I have the answer.
