This dvd captured the essence of this amazing movie. The current and controversial themes surrounding abuse by some priests and unfortunate church cover ups were handled very well by the writing and acting. This is definitely a must-see !

Better than ALL THE PRESIDENT"S MEN, which was an examination of real journalism. This film shows the personal cost, professional dedication and relentless work over a long time to get the story right. Fine film about a difficult issue.

Probably one of the biggest story to come out of the Catholic Church about their involvement in priests abusing children in their parish. The movie doesn't hold back on the details of abuse so beware of language is for mature audience.

Although most of us are familiar with the headlines of this story,the where with all of how it was discovered are not really known. The story line and the acting are first rate ! I think this is a must see ! As well as a must digest !

Everything about this film is A+. Acting, writing, directing and a no-holds-barred approach to the journalists who took on a subject that no one wanted to talk about. Riveting and important. A must-see. A deserved Best Picture winner.

Shocking look into the priest scandal within the Catholic Church. Much more extensive than I thought especially when you see the ending. Superb acting. This movie won an Oscar for best picture. Must own for your Blu Ray Collection.

Although the story was highly publicized, most of us never knew how the story originally broke. A great cast with a superbly acted story, a must own drama. If you're a fan of dramas based on true events, you won't be disappointed!

'Spotlight' is easily the best movie I watched in 2015. This movie is an engrossing story based upon real life events surrounding the Catholic cover up of child abuse in Boston. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys movies.

Having lived through this scandal in the early 2000's on television I couldn't wait to see the treatment Hollywood gave it. They didn't sugar coat it. The movie was very intense and most worthy of the best picture Oscar for 2015.

Saw this in the theater Great actors and performances. Taking on the Catholic Church isn't easy. This movie portrayed the difficult issues of priests and young boys. My son bought this to watch at home per my recommendation.

This movie is undoubtedly the greatest true movie about reporters since"All The President's Men", and it may be the greatest movie about reporters ever. It gives you a good sense of what they go through to report the news.

Great cast, great ensemble acting, and the best story about investigative journalism since All the President's Men. Especially good is Stanley Tucci as an overworked attorney. Nice to have this film in my collection.

Saw this movie in the theater and knew I'd have to own it. The historical importance of the hiding of pedifiles within the Catholic church reminds me that all humans make mistakes and egos refuse to admit them. So sad.

I haven't actually watched this movie yet, so I can't review the film itself. But I bought this the week it came out so it was on sale for $20. Good value for an Academy-award nominated film, which is mainly why I got it.

The story left me shocked and concerned that the coverup seemed more important than helping the victims.

I can see why this won best picture, not only was the story interesting the acting was superb and portrayed very well how this team uncovered this story about the catholic church which was so well hidden from the public.

This timely topic was treated with sensitivity and should be viewed by more people than will probably see it. The actors did well without sensationalizing their input. This was an unthinkable situation brought to light.

As a cinema file I completely understand why this movie won Best Picture. It was one of the best movies I'd seen all year. It has some slow spots, but they are made up for by the gripping dramatic ending. Great movie.
