Works with Android or iPhone. Ability to swipe or read chip worked for months. Then it stopped reading either way and I had to manually input cc numbers which costs higher fees.

Didn't work, you have to keep charging the new one. Switched back to the old one.

I bought 2 of these, 1 worked fine and the other one broke after the first day of use. I tried to exchange the defective item and Best Buy would not exchange it. They now have a 15 day return policy. I bought it 29 days ago and could not use it until yesterday. I will be purchasing all my other electronics elsewhere from now on. They are no longer a "best buy" retailer for me.

The reader initially didn't work and we had some problem with it and had to return it to get another one

This is the best merchant type account for small businesses on the go. They have the best fees regardless of the credit card. Plus if you don't use it you don't pay a i have it fee.

So I was in need of taking a payment within hours via credit card. Client had no cash, went and got one of these bad boys. I set it up took about 10 mins and bam got my money!

This product worked great. I was very simple to use and made transactions a lot simpler.

This review is based solely on the customer service at square. The reader works fine. The problem is that if you have any problems with anything, there is no way to speak to an actual person. My CC number was stolen and my card was replicated. The perpetrators used a square device to test the new card by charging $1 on it. Luckily, my CC company caught in time. When I attempted to contact square to speak to someone in customer service, it was not possible without their authorization. It took four emails and four days to get ANY response. They basically told me they'd handle it internally. I just hope nothing goes wrong with a transaction.

Good price on the reader and it was in stock and I was able to use it immediately. Same product as what I would have to order it online for

We purchased the square chip reader for our business. It has been very convient for processing transactions while at special events.

I wanted to try Square because it seemed easy to use and would be beneficial. It met my expectations and I'm very happy with it.

Didn't want to spend a fortune on the new card reader

I like the fact that you can use this square anywhere.
