This device is handy at football games. Had to exchange the device but the new one works good.

In order to help my small business grow I needed to start accepting credit cards and the Square A-SKU-0333 card reader is exactly what I needed to start accepting payments.

Handy item for my business. Safely able to run chip cards, safer for consumer too. Just wish I didn't have to charge them. Better to have two of them on busy days to have one charging while using the other. The charge on the card reader doesn't last as long as I expected. It only came with a charge cord, no plug end.

This was really easy to set up and use. The only issue we have had is we tried to buy a tablet that was not listed as not supported or supported and it only works sometimes.

The square reader does a good job in charging credit cards it is fast and reliable.

I had a square card reader but it wouldn't accept the new Chip Cards. The new Square - Card Reader for Chip Cards will a still accept the standard cards that you need to swipe but also accepts the new Chip Cards!

The card reader is a little fussy sometimes and the chip reader requires you to insert the card carefully. Other than that it eventually works fine.

I have the original Square reader. It's worked pretty good each time I've needed it for a transaction. With the addition of the chips in cards, I decided I needed to get the new card reader with chip capability. I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet but it's not much larger so still easy to travel with and now can accept both swipe and chip cards!

The Square Readers are a useful tool for independent entrepreneurs on the go. For myself, being able to take credit / debit payments at conventions is a must, and the Square is a good tool for that. The Chip reader upgrade has also proven a boon. The kicker is the "charge" this version needs. It doesn't tell you when it's charge is low, it simply stops working, and then requires a surprising amount of time to recharge. I would have thought that after the initial charge, it could subsist on being plugged into the device it was connected to, but it does not. It also seems to discharge when not plugged into anything, or being used at all. It is useful, and I got used to it's wonkyness, but it is not nearly as user friendly as it needs to be.

Works well , had a difficult time getting it to accept all th info , but after it had a chance to gestate it all for a while , it began to work seamlessly . It says it only takes 2.75 % , but for some reason , thats incorrect , it takes 4.1 % They should be honest & truthfull on what % they actually take

It has to be charged to use it and unless you use it everyday all day it can be problematic if you forget to charge it before use. Customer service is difficult to access for any kind of help. However, if you are going to take credit cards with chips, your choices are limited. It was plugged into my phone and I was unable to use the phone to make or receive calls.
