    She Keeps Getting Better!

St. Vincent (Annie Clark) has been a quirky, intriguing artist for years now, but this album has managed to combine all the previous albums and add extra awesomeness on top. A complete piece, song after song catches you, gets you nodding a long, but also paying attention. One of the most inventive artists breaking into the mainstream.

WOW! I was blown away by this album! Her voice, lyrics and style are unique amongst the bubble gum crows. Her album with David Bryne from Talking Heads fame called Love This Giant is also excellent! I highly recommend it!

St. Vincent triumphs on this, her self-titled album. Great songs, great arrangements with perfect instrumentation. A great listen is guaranteed.

If you like her previous mellow pop tunes, this album is slightly more hectic with distorted electronic instruments. Prince Johnny is a great track.

Love the cover/case, but the album is what makes it. My favorite album of 2014.

Best Album I've Heard This Year

St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark) has become better known in the last year. Her last album "Strange Mercy" was well received as well as her work with David Byrne last year. This album continues in the trend of interesting lyrics, strong melodies. There is some quirkiness in some of the instrumentation, which is one of her trademarks. But her great guitar work also comes through. I think "Digital Witness" and "Prince Johnny" are the best songs. Overall, a great album, her best so far.

Annie Clark has reinvented herself with the self-titled effort, St. Vincent. She takes her audience into a weird world that comes out being a very pleasant experience. Apart from the flawed "I Prefer Your Love", this album is excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend for the deep listener.

This is a very creative and interesting album. If you're already a fan of her work, you will continue to be. If you are not, this is a great place to start. Not your regular pop album. Be forewarned.

Annie Clarks(St. Vincent) best yet! Maintains her lyrical and art noir music style. Should appeal more to new listeners. Previous efforts worth checking out too.

The album and tracks' lineup is intriguing, sounding experimental instrumentally, and unlike their previous material. There are much better St. Vincent albums.
