    This was a return to form for the series. I've played every Star Ocean game and after the misfire that was part 4, it was nice for the series to return to its grandiose roots. A unique group of characters really help keep you going for these long hours you'll put into this game.

    The only one I haven't played is the one for the Super Famicom, I don't know if they ever localized it, but anyways...this game is not as great as the earlier ones but good enough...some change up in gameplay mechanics but overall nothing a Star Ocean fan can't handle!

    got it on the cheap and its ok for the price don't pay full price sadly it felt rush and i loved all previous star oceans YES inkling 4 the last hope but this one sigh.....its ok and i hope they get another chance and do justice to this series

    This is a fun game but it just seems lacking to me at least i enjoy it but the mechanics and exploring could be a bit better then they are and maybe a random mob spawn instead of spawing in same spot over and over

    This is not a bad game to top off ones collection of PS4 JRPGs but is not amazing. Get Tales of Zestiria first if you are looking for something more interesting and are on a budget, or buy both if you can.

    Great game from the store to the character design and plenty of side quests. If your the kind of person that wants to spends lots of time doing tons things to level and get items.

    I love almost all games made by Square, this one is no exception, another great entry on the Star Ocean Saga. Now if they would make a new Chrono .... *crosses fingers*

    This game brings me back to my childhood and the story line is top notch. Improved fighting system was a must and there's nothing bad I can say about this game.

    It wasn't the star ocean you'd think it would be. Pretty mediocre, but still okay game play. Story was meh as well.
