A good series in the Star Trek universe. I really enjoyed it.

It has good visuals but it's not what you would call star trek. Sorry but it's not what I wanted it to be. Better buy the blu ray set than subscribe for it.

Star Trek Discovery has some of the highest production values of any Sci-Fi show in TV history. However it is missing some of the soul of classic Star Trek. Hopefully this improves in the second season.

The steelbook package is great for collectors. That is about it. If you have been watching Star Trek since the beginning like I have and are fans that attends conventions like we do than this version of Star Trek will be a MAJOR disappointment for you. If you like the new Star Trek that JJ Abrams has created then you will appreciate this DVD set. This version of Star Trek does not fit into the timeline because of the technology. It is more closely aligned to the Abrams universe. The Klingande’s are not the Klingons anymore and some of the technology is just downright goofy. I have met thousands upon thousands of fans at numerous conventions who all feel the same. This is not Star Trek as Roddenberry created it. For something that was supposed to take place between enterprise and the original series the technology is more advanced then what we saw in voyager in some cases. It doesn’t look like Star Trek and certainly does not feel like Star Trek. Would have been better if this was set in the alternate timeline. That’s where it belongs and that’s where it would have fit. So as you can probably guess, if you are a Roddenberry Star Trek fan do not waste your money or energy with this DVD set. Sorry. I wanted so very much to love Discovery as much as all of the other Star Trek series to date. I love the new Battlestar Galactica just as much as the old Battlestar Galactica. I most definitely can accept a redo. But the new Battlestar Galactica does not claim to be in the original timeline. It is a standalone product unique to itself. But, Discovery just doesn’t have any place in the original ‘normal’ Star Trek series timeline.

A good series but I still prefer the original Captain Kirk forever long live the enterprise

I love Star Trek. I just don't care for the plot. I hope season 2 is better.

The extras alone on this disc set leave you wanting more Star Trek Discovery! I know everything about Star Trek and even I learned some things about DSC I didn't know before. The Blu Ray format gives you a great visual clarity and makes the show come alive on screen. This was a great purchase. I can't wait for season 2!!

This show was terrible. Star Trek is about hope, optimism and human success through science, technology and decency. Star Trek Discovery goes against all of that. Additionally, the stories were mediocre and the acting was bad. Don't waste your money.
