This show has had some mixed reviews primarily concerned with the changes made to things such as the Klingon’s appearance and a few tech based decisions. However, at its core, it is still Star Trek and as a lifelong fan, I can still heartily recommend this show to anyone.

The original trek series was designed to raise social awareness on society issues in the 1960s. This series is just pure selfish indulgence with lots of action and fun. Fun to watch, and the reach back to the original storylines in the original series is well done!

I enjoyed this show more than most. If you are a true fan of Star Trek, this show may not be for you. it doesn't have that star trek feel to it. Keep in mind that this is only the first season, so for perhaps it will feel more like a Star Trek show the following season. Try and watch the first 2 episodes before you decide to purchase this series.

Star Trek Discovery boldly returns to the great series Star Trek is known for. The character arc for the lead, Sonequa Martin Green is complex as a brilliant first officer fallen from grace. Excellent special effects for television & great Blu Ray extras.

A different viewpoint for the Star Trek franchise . The story is being told thru an alternate character. A refreshing change and great stories . Don't miss it ! This is a must have Blu-ray disk .

This is one of the best Star Trek series ever!! I wish they would show it on regular CBS stations instead of making you subscribe to CBS all access!! That’s why I waited and got it on DVD when it came out. Well worth the wait.

This is a must buy for all Star Trek Fans. Having it on Blu-ray means you don’t have to depend on the streaming services or your internet connection.

We made it through season one and it was excellent. Interesting new characters, lots of twists and turns in the plot, great special effects, the sound is really top notch -- all in all Star Trek just keeps rolling along.

I enjoyed the series very much. The new series made some changes that diehards might reject but I have seen this in almost every never ending sequels. With that in mind, I think it is a new series worth watching.

If you are expecting Star Trek canon you may be disappointed. Klingons look like an entirely different race. And I felt the focus on an individual character was odd. The fx were on par with Star Trek and the ideals which gave it redeeming qualities. Hope season 2 gets back to going where no mans gone before.

If you miss weekly Star Trek universe show episodes, then this may fill the bill. It is somewhat different from canon (traditional Star Trek universe) but has new content and is entertaining to watch. Hard core Star Trek followers may feel Discovery deviates to far from established Star Trek story lines.

Spectacular set designs, great actors, fantastic & original story arc - it was one of the greatest Star Trek series ever. It is a 10! It is up there with the BORG! You will not be disappointed!

The background music is too loud to understand the dialogue.

Since I do not subscribe to CBS All Access, it is nice to be able to view a great series. I have also received season II and cannot wait to be able to view season III when it arrives.

I had mixed feelings about this version of Star Trek, and found I really liked it. The technology is fascinating and the acting is superb, well worth the watch.

It is "Awesome" I am so very Happy I made this purchase. My family and I are Huge Star Trek Fans!!! I would purchase it again!!! Completed season one. Now watching second two!!!

This is a darker version of Star Trek but still enjoyable. The visuals are pretty amazing and most likely the best for any TV series to date. Seeing this on blu ray is the best way to watch it. Good show.

Got this series on a hunch. Was a little worried after watching the last star trek series. I pleasantly surprised. I am not a trekkie by any means, but I found this show enjoyable.
