This was a fairly enjoyable season of science fiction, yet they may be stressing the social diversity and inclusion angles a little bit much. The visual effects are outstanding for a TV series, and they do a good job of keeping the tech looking modern on screen without being to a point past The Original Series that the story is supposed to be a decade prior to. Though I'm sure there are tons of people who refuse to accept this show as canon. But for most Trek fans, watching Discovery will be an enjoyable experience.

First episode a little slow but picks up after that. Star Trek universe is always great. Great visuals too

I'm a huge Star Trek fan and have been watching since the very beginning. Since I'm not a member of CBS All Access, I've been disappointed not to have been able to watch Discovery. I recently found Season 1 on Blue Ray at Best Buy so I bought it. I'm not quite half way through the season but I'm really loving the story and the homage to the original show. Watching the special features has really enlightened me to how they are keeping that in mind but also utilizing today's newer technology. If you haven't seen the show yet, it's worth it to buy it now and catch up. Next I'll be waiting for Season 2 to be available to purchase!

Great new start to Star Trek dynasty. Acting is great.

The scripts and writing lives up to Star Trek but falls short in the season finale with an easy not well thought solution. All episodes except the finale were 5/5. Star Trek Enterprise made a better job in keeping continuity technology wise without sacrificing cinematic effects. Klingons were well introduced in this era but no sense of connection with the Klingons they were supposed to came from or go to in the other series. USS Enterprise should have been preserved in its original shape not a hybrid between Original Series, Movie Series and Kelvin timeline. And why use JJ Abrahms lens flares again and why is always so bright outside!!!!! Other than that it should have been a 5/5 but unfortunately not the case. Let’s hope for a better second season.
