Episodes are fun to watch; giant Spock, Spock visits himself as a child, the Enterprise crew all turn into children, Kirk and Spock turn into underwater sea breathers..., etc. 23 total episodes.

All I got to say is I am a Star Trek Fan. Almost any of its genre. Will say it is a good addition to TOS.

liked the tv series so i knew i would like this anime series.

I saw these as first run on Saturday mornings. I was a Star Trek fan, but had never seen the live action 60's era series because we didn't get the UHF channels that played it in syndication. Watching these episodes brings me back to the excitement of seeing these back then. Blu-ray quality is good, but shows a lot of the animation artifacts like marks on the cells that move against the background. Still, I enjoy them for the nostalgia, and the stories are pretty good as well. They continued the trend of using Science Fiction authors to write the scripts.

Having owned the VHS, LaserDisc, and DVD releases in the past, I can honestly say this is the best these episodes have ever looked. Paramount/CBS is to be commended for having taken such good care of the original source elements, so they can be presented in such good fashion for fans of today's technology. You will not be disappointed in this release. Get it on Blu-ray Disc as soon as you can!

Previously purchased this Series on SD DVD but wanted to upgrade to Blu-ray. AV quality is not a night and day difference but enough to enjoy the HD experience. My set did not include any lip sync problems as others have noted. These early 1970s 22 animated episodes are really enjoyable as an extension of the 1960s 3 Seasons of the live action TV Series.

as a child, I was excited to see and hear my favorite Star Trek characters back on the small screen. I forgave the poor quality animation, as well as missing Checkov (Walter Koenig). I thought the stories were good at the time. Viewing through the eyes of an adult, I have really come to appreciate the stories, many written by original series scribes, and how well the stories played out. It made me wish that Paramount had found a way to produce a live action weekly television series back in the day. Audio and Video quality is surprisingly good given the age.

I watched this series as a kid each Saturday morning. It's great to be able to have this collection and watch it again and share it with my kids. Yes some of it was out there, or just didn't quite fit the original Star Trek series but it was close enough back then if you were hooked on the original series. A must for any Trek fan.

I was surprised at how god this set was. The commentary on several episodes was very informative and the video transfer to blu ray was very clear. I bought it after remembering watching the series as a kid, but realized that the stories are very much within what would have been produced for a live action show.

I remember first watching this on Saturday mornings back in the early 70's. Watching them now, I realize (at least to me) that this isn't just a typical kids cartoon. It is voiced with the original actors so it lends itself to be a continuation of the original Star Trek series.

This is a beautiful BluRay set for the often overlooked animated "Star Trek" series. Including and going beyond all that was done for the DVD set years ago, this set is a nice cap to finally have everything from the original Trek in BluRay format.

As part of celebrating the 50th anniversary of Star Trek, watching the Animated Series was a part of it. The clarity of the Blu-Ray topped watching it on TV back in the 70's. If you have children, it's a great introduction to Star Trek.

The original crew from the tv series are back to voice there animated versions of the characters that they made famous and to continue the 5 year mission of the USS Enterprise. This is a must have for any fan of Star Trek.

Star Trek: The Animated Series [blu-ray] a great reminder of my Saturday morning cartoon days. The episodes are fun to watch & re-watch. It was fun picking out which original series actor was voicing which alien.

A must have for any Star Trek fan, I've been waiting for this for a long time. The blu ray treatment is excellent with the clarity and sound, the mini posters for every episode are a nice bonus too!

I remember this on Saturday morning television as a kid. I bought the series on laserdisc and then on dvd. Now it's on blu-ray. Get sound and classic animation. A must have for your collection.

Great bit of Star Trek fun. If you haven't seen this it is great for those that are a fan of the original series.

Really wanted this CD..many stores had advertised having it but when I went to buy it they didn't have it but Best Buy did..Very happy to have found it there..needed it for a gift.

I like this animated version because some of the episodes fit into the original series It has the voices of the original people as well as some of the writers of the classic show

This series on blu-ray is fantastic. It's been awhile since I've seen the series but I'm grateful for the re-release. A can't miss purchase if you like this series.
