I am a Star Trek fan and this is a must have. It has the original version, plus it has the new version with enhance special effects and special features. I am enjoying it like if I never saw it before. Truly spectacular.

Episodes look really beautiful, sharp and colorful . I haven't made it through all of the bonus features yet but have enjoyed what I've seen so far. This set is definitely recommended for fans of the original TV series.

The bluray doesn't disppoint. You can watch all the episodes with the original special effects or with the updated enhanced effects. It is like night and day. Of course the rest are not "updated" but the episodes look good.

* Great video quality reissue. * Improved music score. * Improved graphics. * None of the updates to the original series hurts this Blu-ray set. Highly recommended if you are a Star Trek follower & fan.

I've been waiting for this remastered complete original series Blu-Ray to be released. You have to love technology when it can take old TV footage and make the colors pop. I look forward to watching again and again.

This was an unexpected Christmas gift. The quality of the videos is very good. I haven't been using the enhanced options, just watching the episodes but I look forward to going back to try the enhancements.

TNG looks great in Blu-ray but know that it won't be in widescreen (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQtWeor58rU) nor digital special effects added (like TOS). Would recommend if on sale - I got it for $65

All 79 Episodes with the Enhanced Visual Effects plus 7.1 Surround Sound and 9 hours of Special Features on 20 Blu-Ray Discs. Picture and sound quality are excellent - a must have for any Sci-Fi fan!

Finally, a single Blu-ray box set for the complete original Star Trek series! This original series reminds me of my childhood. Good to finally have it included in my film library to preserve the memories.

Has all episodes in both the original format and with the updated special effects. The extras on how and why they updated the TV show is very interesting. An absolute must for a Star Trek fan!

if you don't own the original series this is a must, the Blu Ray has great detail and the outer space scenes have special effects added to the original aired episodes that truly make this a must.

I found this on sale while browsing my local store and finally decided to upgrade from my DVD set. Compact packaging and great video quality made this a worthy addition to my collection.

Great set of movies. I grew up watching the series (in reruns) after school. The remastered effects are well done. Highly recommend this box set for anyone who is a fan of the original series.

This and STNG are both must haves!! Paramount has done a masterful job at remastering this in HD 1080p and 7.1 DTS surround. Well worth the money

This set is awesome, you get all the episodes (including unaired pilots), the original versions of the episodes, and the enhanced versions of the episodes all for an affordable price.

Great picture and sound, although I have read some reviews that complained about poor sound quality or discs that their Blu-ray player could not read. There are many hours of video to watch on 20 individual discs in the complete series, so I am a long way from getting to view all the discs, thus the reason for only 4 stars. I have not experienced any of these issues so far.

Yes ... the original Star Trek. Not the BEST packaging, but better than some (like STNG). No Star Trek fan should be without this. Live long and Prosper ...

Why only 3 stars instead of 5? Simple. I was excited when the original Star Trek came to Blu-Ray, but it was cost prohibitive, as I just purchased the other series at the time on DVD.... The original release has the original and updated versions, this one only the new. The "special features" leave much to be desired, but overall are "okay" and the package is simply horrid--- a massive 20+ disc package with all blue discs and the episodes listing in tiny letters on the INSIDE of the wrap around -- and a cover that only invoked the emotion of "Wow, they did not even try".... Overall, a good set for the quality and to have TOS on BluRay, but what this set lacks more than over shadows what it offers.... C'mon CBS/Paramount, you do great stuff over seas, but here in the US, you don't even try....

Love this series. The DVD is great with the updated graphics. the audio has same problems, but I found switching to the second audio track fixes any problems. overall excellent!
