Customers find value in the stunning graphics, engaging campaign mode, and immersive Star Wars experience that Battlefront II offers. They appreciate the improvements made since the previous installment and enjoy the action-packed multiplayer mode. However, some express concerns about the presence of loot boxes, microtransactions, and a pay-to-win upgrade system, which they feel detract from the overall gaming experience.

This game has all the authenticity of Star Wars movie which is a plus. Game play is fun except for those loot boxes and the progression system. I don’t think I’m that bad but when you only get about 250-300 credits the grind to obtain star cards becomes real.

The arcade mode is fun, the story mode is enjoyable, and the multiplayer can be fun. There's issues about the inclusion of loot boxes and pay to win. Ignore it, shoot some rebels or clone troopers, and get on with it. Other players will always be better than you, regardless of skill or loot box rewards.

Big improvement over the first battlefront Single player campaign in my opinion was great, ties in well with Star Wars canon the graphics are insane, the loot box system and character upgrading system deafly needs improvement but from my experience all, the modes from heroes versus villains too galactic assult are very enjoyable. Would recommend it to any Star Wars fans

I really enjoyed star wars battlefront and was hoping for a huge step up from that. The graphics are amazing but the awesome feel of battle seems to have been diminished from the previous game. There are some great battles and additional enjoyments in this sequel like the Hoth multiplayer where you can ride on tauntauns. The game is still a work in progress because it's been out for a month and they seem to revamp how you play every week because the keep trying to make everyone happy. I hope any additional play that is added ramps up the battles. The solo mission game is really cool though there are moments it forces you to take your time to get through the mission do to storyline. Continuation of the storyline will keep going as game keeps being worked on.

Game is a lot of fun to play, an arcade style shooter. Looks and sounds like you're in the star wars universe. Campaign is alright, not as cohesive of a story, but is more of a "collection of star wars set pieces and characters". Loot boxes / progression is controversial.

I’ve read most of the angst about the pay issues with the game and it looks like the problem has been reduced a bit. Putting that aside, the game has made a lot of improvements over the prior version and the single player campaign is a welcome addition to the game.

First, I will paint a picture. I am 42 married, a young daughter, teen son, a full time 8-5 job. Thus I am a casual gamer. I love Madden and NHL. I am mediocre at best whilst playing shooters. If all this describes you, continue reading. I really like this game. I don't enjoy the online multiplayer much cuz I don't last 2 minutes before getting killed. I Really wish their were skill based matches instead. Maybe it would be more fun for those of us who can't commit 7hrs a day at getting better. But I enjoy the couch co-op with my son who can shoot 5 guys before I get to one. I like the campaign I think I am about halfway through, cuz I have other responsibilities. I have to say it is a stunningly beautiful game and sounds fantastic. There is much more content than the last so it will not get stale after a few days. Give it a whirl, it is fairly easy to pick up and play and...it's Star Wars.

The game is stellar in terms of gameplay, visuals, story, acting, etc. The production value is exactly what you want in a Star Wars game. The story is brief, but it’s still far better than the first game, which lacked a story entirely. This game falls short in terms of the character/equipment unlock and advancement system. For some odd reason, EA has placed a limit on how many credits you can earn per day while playing the game! This makes no sense, as it actually encourages you to play the game for less time than you might otherwise play it in a single day. If EA would change this ridiculous system, it would go a long way toward fixing its problems. In addition, I was sorely disappointed to see that there is no VR mission in the game. According to most sources, there won’t be one. After the first game’s VR mission, I couldn’t wait to play a new one. How disappointing...

Battlefront 2 is a beautiful game that puts you right into the Star Wars universe. The controls are fluid, and the campaign is fun. Getting to play as a lot of the older characters is fun. The multiplayer can be improved, but it is still fun to play.

I'd rate it more like a 3.5 above average game. For those that like online gaming it provides hours of fun, but the upgrades for the star cards only provide incremental improvements. Only certain features available by select class. But it makes it all the more challenging and you can constantly configure your star cards & classes in battle. Heroes vs Villains is quite dull.
On the offline single (split) player mode it really lacks a lot. The campaign is more a story line than an actual game of conquest (like the old PS2 version games). Only a select options when playing solo (outside multiplayer) that can make the game really dull. I still play the old PS2 versions to enjoy a lot of the single player mode. Overall it is a good game and each person will have a different opinion of it. I just wished there was a standalone galactic conquest feature.

Please don't let the early reviews about pay-to-win and locked heroes worry you about this game. They have fixed the pay-to-win and this game is fun to play and it is easy to unlock heroes. This Battlefront is BIG and has so much to do! A beautiful game to play. Lots of fun to play even for someone who can't shoot straight. A must buy!

Best Stars Wars Game

This is the best Star Wars game that I have played on the new generation of consoles. It took what was good from the first Battlefront and made it better. Adding a campaign mode was the best thing they did. There may be some negative reviews because of loot boxes but if you just play the game eventually you will unlock everything.

I had pre-ordered this a while back and as the release date came closer and all the loot box concerns became apparent I almost cancelled but glad I stuck with it. The single player campaign IMO was fun, being able to follow the story line and playing different characters as you progressed. Sure there are some minor bugs which a few are patched already but overall gameplay was fun. Multiplayer so far has been really fun, did not have issues unlocking heroes within reason as long as I stayed on mission objective. Space battles are my favorite, the details and sound are impressive as you fly through Death Star 2 debris, asteroid field, or around and through superstructures. Totally support those opposing the original loot box system and glad EA caved in a bit for now. If they push back into the dark side then I will be joining the rebels.

After hearing the number of complaints in regards to achieving heroes through long intensive game play or paying upfront to unlock them, I was kinda hesitant. However, after playing the game for a couple of weeks now, I am quiet impressed with the graphics, the campaign mode, and the overall experience of the game.

A great game with a flawed ranking system

It's a shame that this game had so much negative press before it was even released. The campaign story is amazing! A very well told Star Wars story that weaves it's way into Jedi and TFA. The campaign took me about 6 hours, but I wasn't racing through it. I'm sure others could finish much faster. The multiplayer modes are fun and varied, great graphics and animation. The maps are perfect down to the last detail. My only gripe, like many others is the ranking system which is based on loot crates. It's an awful mechanic, that is much more of a money grab than a progression system. If this poorly conceived ranking system hadn't been included it would be nearly a perfect game that will only get better with the included DLC that is coming over the next few months.

So far, so good. While I'm only half way through the campaign and have only played several of the online gameplay modes, the game is entertaining and a ton of fun. It is a solid entry in the SW Battlefront franchise and definitely seems to improve on some of the problems of the previous entry.

This game has more customization, more characters, more modes than the first and is the Star Wars game people have been waiting for. Whether online, coop or solo campaign, there is something for everyone and plenty of ships, locations and characters. If you love Star Wars, get this game.

Definitely enjoy this game. Very happy that they included a campaign mode. Multiplayer plus arcade mode gives a lot of playability to this game. Get rid of the pay loot crates. $60 is enough for the game.

The game is solider than the 1st remake of Battlefront, including a campaign and decent multiplayer. However, only 10 units may be deployed at a time. Making a realistic battle not seen.
