Customers are saying

Customers find value in the stunning graphics, engaging campaign mode, and immersive Star Wars experience that Battlefront II offers. They appreciate the improvements made since the previous installment and enjoy the action-packed multiplayer mode. However, some express concerns about the presence of loot boxes, microtransactions, and a pay-to-win upgrade system, which they feel detract from the overall gaming experience.

I got this game opening day when everyone was complaining about micro transaction. Well I have to say it really didn’t make any difference. Graphics were great gameplay was good as always. The only thing was the campaign it was short but they keep adding to it. I gave it 4 stars cause I dont believe any game is a 5 Star. I have been loving the game and recommend it to anyone. Don’t believe the micro transaction hype this game is great.

This is my favorite Star Wars game! Battlefront 1 grew on you, but Battlefront 2 surpasses everyone’s expectations! I’m really enjoying the campaign too!

The Good - Single player Co-op arcade Multiplayer The Bad - Microtransactions (although they are disabled for the time being) Pay to win upgrade system Upgrade system sucks The Star Wars - It's the only Star Wars game we've got. The single player is pretty cool, the graphics are really good and it feels like Star Wars. It's almost like what the first Battlefront should have been. More of the same with single player.

I bought this game strictly for the cannon campaign. It started out great but then it started going all over the place. They threw in characters because they were probably forced to by Disney. You play a pretty strong character at first but her choices go to Meh really quickly. I played a multiplayer match and it was entertaining. I do not care about the "loot crate" issue since I rather earn my experience through my own skill.

I'm going to be honest, I know there was a lot of backlash for this game because of the micrograms actions, but EA already got rid of it (temporarily, but doubt they will bring it back the same way it was). But either way! The game looks and sounds awesome. Story mode was great and and seriously can't stop playing Blast and Heroes vs villains. Getting credits is not an issue at all because just by playing in a day (like 6 hours), I already had enough for a hero. So there's no reason not to like this game. I got the Elite Edition and it's still all worth it to me.

The game looks awesome. The single player campaign is short but sweet. The online is pretty fun, especially when in a squad with friends. As far as the microtransactions, I haven't spent a dime on anything since the first day update to to re-manage the way things are unlocked.

Love the campaign, and seeing the story grin the dark side for a change. Multi player is still good, even though character mastery is difficult.

This game has some really solid multiplayer options, but the campaign is what makes it worth it. It feels as if you’re part of the movie saga.

I'll start with the micro-transactions. it didn't matter because the card upgrade system was/is just as dumb. Even if you bought all the cards you have to be a certain level to upgrade them. so once they put it back it will likely be worse unless fixed as people will be the player level needed. In multiplayer, there are really three modes worth caring about. Starfighter Assault, the spaceship-only skirmish that effortlessly blends objective play with standard dogfights; Heroes vs Villains, where you get to live out your fantasies of playing as iconic Star Wars characters; and Galactic Assault, the Conquest/Rush-style objective mode with the highest player count of 20v20. best xp gain has been from Heroes vs Villains. basically like the first one if you played it. Short matches with lots of points. Single Player is there now but so simple it's useless unless you want the credits and achievements. worst mechanic left off is still not able to climb. they have ramp areas or short places to jump on or over. there are some things or even areas where climbing over would be so helpful

overall great game, beautiful graphics and good control movement, dog fights are great. the only thing and ths has become the norm in the last couple of years is the (pay to win system) all this microtransactions that has become normal needs to go away, games used to be 60$ you get the full game not half and then pay to gain access to the rest of the game, this game is no exception.

I bought this before all the micro transaction controversy, and it's just a fun star wars game if you can get past all the rage. I was disappointed the last iteration didn't have a single player campaign, this one does and it's fun. I really don't get all the hurt feelings from this game, don't buy the extras if you're so offended by them, just play the game and have fun.

I was so hyped about this game when first announced and after the beta which was nice things got a little fishy. Honestly loot boxes aren't a big turn off to me in games when they are cosmetics like NBA live 18 for example. That game is nice when it comes to playing street games or NBA games to earn points to unlock things that change ur look but in star wars it's used to change ur advantage when playing competitively online. It's tied to ur progression when leveling up and it's awful. The bugs can suck to but really it's those loot boxes and microtransactions that suck. The look and feel or star wars is there but once u play u realize that if u play to win u will be disappointed. If they change that and add on some more weapons fix the bugs and add more content that expands story and multiplayer this game might have a chance to redeem it's flaws but EA sucks. Buy this if u don't care about progression and just want to play for fun but if not I would wait. I bought with high hopes and haven't touched it since. I'm waiting for changes.

    Amazing Gameplay, Scam Progress System

This game has received so much negative attention for a very good reason. The campaign and gameplay is amazing, fun, well-built, and addicting, in addition to its beautiful graphics and environment. This game has all the ingredients to be a 10/10, but then EA dipped their grimy fingers in it and added in micro-transactions that directly hinder your ability to advance and compete in multiplayer if you choose not to spend extra money. It is a forced gambling system that broke the game before it was even released. The fact that progression is tied directly to chance and microtransactions on a $60-$100 AAA title about one of the best and most successful franchises in the world, just shows you how stupid big publishers think we consumers are. I did pre-order this game and stayed pretty uninformed until I had already picked it up and found that I was not able to play as many of the core heroes without "purchasing" them at an extremely high credit price. In addition, I found that after 5 quick Arcade Mode matches, there was a time-wall placed on earning credits. This is when I got really mad. There are 16 different Solo arcade challenges, each with 3 tiers. That's 48 opportunities to earn a measly 100 credits each, but you don't even earn them after your first 5 matches of the day. Being that you earn 100 credits whether you win or lose, means that you can scoop up those daily 500 credits in under 10 minutes, and then there is no motivation to continue playing, even if you're having fun (I find that arcade mode is the perfect way to just relax and blast some baddies). And just so you have a scale of what this means: Just to unlock Darth Vader, you need 15,000 credits. There are several more heroes that require unlock in the same price range, on top of the fact that randomly generated crates cost 4,000 credits each. This is a huge and unnecessary problem that has destroyed the potential long-term fun of this game. After far too long, I've finally made the pledge to no longer pre-order games, especially from these huge publishers that constantly abuse their customers. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME until they completely restructure the leveling/unlock system, or until it is released as a F2P.
