My Background as a Gamer: Prior to purchasing this game I played the beta which only allowed limited access to one map. However, I easily put in over 20 hours in just the Beta. Let me begin by saying I am not an FPS player, my background is in MMOs. I have spent most my time playing games like Star Wars Galaxies, Guildwars (2), Dofus etc. However, my boyfriend and I both love gaming and he really wanted me to give this game a shot.
The Game:
Pros
The game is beautiful really, the maps look fantastic. Graphics wise I would give this game a 5/5. The sound effects are something that really stood out to me though, they are fantastic, the game feels so immersive and I think a lot of that credit goes to the sound. The actual game play is also fun. You can play as both the imperials and rebels which gives the perspective of each map a little variety. I have logged at least 50 hours in the first month of the game being out. For the most part the weapon choices are balanced. There are a couple things that are overpowered at the moment but already there have been balance fixes that have addressed such problems. Something I personally LOVE coming from playing MMOs is the third person option. You can choose to play this game in third or first person making it perhaps more accessible to people who have not spent as much time in First Person Shooters.
Cons
Unfortunately, only a month into the game being out, there is a serious problem for the PC version of this game. It has become increasingly difficult to find a match. Which means sometimes I log on and cannot find a game to join... Very frustrating after playing this game intensely for a month and loving it. There have been forum posts saying that the devs are aware of the issue. If I had written this review two weeks after the game came out this would not have been included in my review. There are also some minor annoyances such as the fact that you can only spawn on one party member, your partner. Some maps have major flaws such as being far too open or having stationary weapons pointed at objectives creating some serious choke points. There is also a serious lack of maps and weapons. Though with the current offerings I feel that both my boyfriend and I have put enough time into the game to make it worth the purchase. I'd also like to point out that they did just give us a free map the beginning of this December(2015) and there are also multiple DLCs on the way though they will require a separate purchase.
Summary:
Amazing game, it's beautiful, sounds incredible, and is genuinely fun. I think they nailed the Starwars setting and have created some really great game modes. My favorites are Walker Assault and Drop Zone. The weapons all feel like they do offer something a little different, I have enjoyed experimenting with them all. While there are some serious drawbacks a lot of them fall under the category of things that game developers usually address as time progresses such as the matchmaking and limited map options. NO game is perfect, I have yet to play a game where everything has been designed perfectly to my tastes. I would definitely recommend this game. For the purchase price I have had plenty of fun. The only hesitation I have is that the PC community for this game is already much smaller than the console populations and with the matchmaking issue it really has been difficult to find matches quickly. If this were not an issue I would give this a 100% recommend. I was shocked at how much I ended up enjoying this game. If you love starwars and enjoy shooters I've no doubt you'll love this game too but, if you are just wanting an in depth competitive shooter there are better options.

Initially I wasn't going to buy SW Battlefront remembering the previous versions from Pandemic Studio, but after seeing footage of the game on Youtube I changed my mind. The graphics are great and Dice getting full access to Lucasfilm archives and sound effects really puts you into the SW universe. The biggest disappointment with the game is the online play and getting on to servers. The match making is all behind the scenes, meaning you can't see which servers are full or which are playing what game type. You just click on the type of game play you want to join and then hopefully you find a server that isn't completely full. Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't.
Overall I still recommend the game especially if you're a SW die hard. It's fun and immersive. Oh, one thing to be aware of. You need to create an Origin account. If you don't already have one make sure the account you create is set for 18 or older otherwise you will not be able to play online.

Coming from Battlefields 3&4 and the OG Battlefronts, I have to confess some ddisappointment with this game. The game is pretty and plays quite well, but it really feels like it's lacking in content, especially for a $60 AAA title. There are few maps (all of which feel claustrophobic) and little in the way of customization beyond simply unlocking new weapons and cosmetics. I'm sure that EA's season pass will add some depth, but I'll reserve judgment. Don't get me wrong, the game is technically quite proficient, but I'm not convinced it was worth the wait, at least right now.

this game has it all, and has more on dlc coming soon. a multiplayer paradise of many style types of fps single and online gaming. Lucasarts definitely has a little tweaking to do on some of the balancing in the game play, but is worth the purchase if your a Star Wars fan. Hours of challenges and very hard difficult matches to compete in.

This is a great game. It's graphically beautiful and addicting fun. However it is not worth $60 bucks just because it's online only. There is no campaign mode. Other than it's a great game at like half the cost. Or of course with GCU!

EA did a great job with this version of Battlefront! It is best to have 1 person to play with. Odd numbers don't work well as you only have 1 partner. The graphics are great, the game play is good. THere are achievements, and unlocks to work towards, but the heroes (Darth, Luke, Emperor, Leia, Han, Boba, Millennium Falcon, etc.) are all available to play from the get go by anyone. You just have to play a certain game type or find the power up in multi player.
The thing I find lacking is the squad function. I wish they would have put the logic from Battlefield into this game. That would have made it a much more enjoyable/social experience.

This game is fun to play and aesthetically pleasing in every way however as a gameit is very shallow and depending on expensive DLC. Definitely a game that would be sold at the $40 price point if it weren't AAA.

This game gets alot of bad press and I'm not sure why. I am a very picky PC gamer, but this game is just fun. There are many different game types, so when you get bored, you pick a new game type! Heros is by far my favorite (who doesn't want to play as luke or Vader??!?!?!) But, the game is far less glitchy than 90% of the other games that come out now days, not perfect but good. The game isn't overly hard, but it is plain fun. I haven't had fun playing many games lately until this one.

DICE made a fantastic representation of the Star Wars universe with this game. The gunplay is tight, sound is incredible, and the graphics are very well-optimized for a single gpu pc. The settings defaulted to Ultra at 1080p on my rig and I'm running 80+ fps on 40 player maps with an r9 290x and core i7 4790k build. Like most DICE/EA games, the bulk of the content will eventually come through DLC, which is unfortunate, but has been the reality ever since Battlefield 3.

Overall this game is a very fun way to dive into everyone's favorite battle moments from Star Wars. The single player is a bit lacking- missions are fun, survival challenging and exciting, but the battles are very small. They are only around 5v5, nothing like the sprawling 30v30 battles of the old games. Haven't had access to the internet to try out the multiplayer yet- I have high hopes!

So I have to say that game play and graphics are good. I dislike the fact that a pistol is so op. you will find that it is almost very cookie cutter feeling in the loadout being used. I wish there was a lobby and an anticheat system added. Overall a good game, but not a polished end product worthy of $60.

Good game. Great visuals.I have to take a star off for not including the game disk in the box and making the buyer download the entire game. I also have to take a star off for charging 59.99 and not including a real campaign mode.

This is pretty much like playing BF4 in starwars the gameplay and graphics are so smooth! Running at 75-90+ FPS at 1440p ultra settings with GTX 970 G1 gaming. My Dell i7559-763BLK plays it at 60-75fps at high settings no problem!

The graphics are amazing. I bought this for my boyfriend and he loves it. Wishes it had different challenges available, while the scenes change the objective is always the same. You can buy additional features to get different challenges but they should just be included. Still the game is fun, excellent graphics & we would recommend getting it!

I can't say enough great things about this game on the PC version. If you have the 8 MBs of RAM, a high end video card, quad core and all the fixings for your own system, that's the requirements. Origin/EA has done outstanding work and I have played a few back in the early 90's of the Star Wars EA series, this is by FAR the best in the Galaxy. Origin/EA work wonderfully together on this and just a app need on your computer for Origin, great teams that worked hard on this one. I still have so much game play to do too. I never tire of anything they put out for new content.

The best thing about this game is the graphics, they are amazing and the world feels real! I am pretty bias about the gameplay though as it isn't my favorite type of game, however it is great. If you like Star Wars then you will def love the game.

Totally awesome in accuracy of sound effects, characters, vehicles. Puts you right there in the Starwars universe. Multiplayer is great, but the solo missions are shallow and limited. Wish there were more story to the missions. 7 out of 10.

This game is a great value at $10-15 dollars. Based on the same Frosbite engine as Battlefield 1, you get a similar experience for a lower price. If you've played any of the previous Battlefield games and enjoyed them than this game is definitely worth checking out. Fantastic visuals and the gameplay is well polished. Just don't expect alot from the virtually non existent single player experience, which is essentially just training missions for the multiplayer. A few negative points for me are the smaller player pool on PC compared to the X1 or PS4 and the balance of mutliplayer games with the inclusion of hero units.
