This is the climax for which the Star Wars universe revolves. This is the movie with the revelation that will shape the life of our hero, the Jedi Knight in training, Luke Skywalker. Through the mystic teachings of the Jedi Master Yoda, Luke will learn that the Dark Side also resides in him. We will learn the awsome power the Empire holds that the rebels must overcome. And in the final battle we will discover Darth Vader's secret. And in the end.... there is no end. The story is left right in the middle. Until my next review of "Return of the Jedi". This is the most dramatic and revealing of the series. This is problably the greatest Sci-Fi movie ever.

Still ranks up there as one of my favorite movies when I was growing up and looks great in 4K.

This is my favorite of all the Star Wars movies. And boy is it clear and the audio is fantastic. Worth the upgrade.

These transfers seem overly bright and are a bit DNR'd for my liking, probably because they were prepared for the 3D theatrical releases that Disney canceled after they bought Lucasfilm. But they are a big improvement over the previous Blu-rays that were overly dark and seemed to suffer from color encoder issues.

This is one of the best films ever made and is the best movie in the Star Wars library. The 4K conversion makes this classic come to life.

Great picture and seeing in 4K HD is amazing. What a fun type of entertainment.

Greatest Star Wars Movie ever made period. Even with the limited added scenes they couldn't ruin this and its in 4k a must own.

Fantastic as always but now in 4k. Even included featurets from the vhs special editions. A most have for the star wars fan

The steel book of The Empire Strikes Back is breathtaking. The back cover which is covered by the cardboard insert shows one of the old ESB movie posters of Luke on his tauntaun, Leia in Han's embrace about to kiss her, Vader's helmet silhouette in the background, but it is slightly different. I do like this a lot. I also like that the inside of the steel book has the hoth battle scene with AT-AT's on the march. The stormtrooper is an interesting choice for the cover, but that is one of my favorite characters in the movies. I got this for more of a display piece and for the price (under $20), I didn't have to think long about this purchase.

Wish this was 4K version of the theatrical release but hey, it'll do. At least it looks better in 4K...that's for sure!

The online reviews for the newest 4K disc were mixed and I have no idea why. This movie looks stunning! A superior color grade and glorious, velvety Dolby Atmos sound mix. By the time Han and Leia were jumping into the falcon I was swooning with glee that one of my favorite movies looked and sound better than it may ever have.

Awesome 4k and blu ray combo pack with nice artwork on the front.

This is one of 3 Star Wars with real 4k worth purchases as it suffers the least alteration of the special edition.

So glad to finally get this on 4k bluray with digital copy.
