Abysmal performance on all fronts. If you're looking for a 75$(post tax) paper weight then by all means. Will effectively be collecting dust until they release multiple fixes and updates. My final lesson in never pre ordering titles unless it's a first party game from Sony/Nintendo or a FromSoft work.

What a joke, HDR is broken which will cause a black screen you can barely see whats going. Avoid getting a copy until a few patches come out. EA is a joke

    Best Star Wars game

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor nails the souls-like formula perfectly—tight, punishing combat that rewards mastery, without the frustration of endless grinding or cryptic progression. It's the sequel that elevates Jedi: Fallen Order into a must-play action-adventure masterpiece, blending Star Wars lore with metroidvania exploration and Jedi fantasy. Combat: Precise & Addictive 5 lightsaber stances (single, double-bladed, dual-wield, crossguard, blaster)—equip 2 at a time for strategic depth; double-bladed shreds groups, dual-wield crushes singles. Feels physical and responsive vs. floaty predecessor—parry, dodge, stamina management demand patience like a true Jedi; enemies vary wildly, bosses are unique climaxes. No RNG cheese: Hits feel earned, progression via skill trees and Force tweaks keeps it fresh. Exploration & World Vast planets (Coruscant, Koboh) with fast travel, mounts (space chickens!), and seamless traversal—puzzles/platforming are engaging, not rage-inducing. Secrets everywhere, backtracking rewarded without pain. Story & Immersion Bold Star Wars tale dives into High Republic relics, emotional Jedi struggles—unexpected twists, stellar voice acting (Cameron Monaghan shines). Gorgeous visuals/audio: Epic music swells, lightsaber hums, blaster chaos—3D audio enhances immersion (PS5 optimal). Minor Gripes Some launch bugs/performance dips (patched since). Older consoles struggle (PS4 audio compression). Bottom line: Souls-like perfection in a Star Wars wrapper. 20-30 hours of pure Force mastery—better than most 'pure' souls games for accessibility and fun. Grab it if you crave skill-based combat with heart!

A master piece of the Star wars universe!!!

This game has made me a hardcore fan of the Star Wars universe. It’s mind-blowing! The combat, story, and world design make you feel like you’re living there. When it came out, I wasn’t even a hardcore Star Wars fan, but this game made me one. It has a ton of gameplay hours, considering it’s an open-world game. I also have to say that there are parts where the graphics are insanely good! Another thing that not many people pay attention to in my opinion is the sound quality of this game. I have a home theater, and playing this game while hearing the lasers shooting and lightsabers has to be the icing on the cake for the full immersive experience. I really hope they continue the franchise because this has to be one of the best Star Wars games currently out. My only complaint is that I play it on PS5, and at least on the PS5, I’ve had to experience some performance/glitchy situations, but nothing crazy.

Jedi survivor is a fun melee combat game and pretty interesting story, however for PS5 there is some screen tearing and some from drops due to large amounts of enemy's spawned but nothing a couple of patches cant fix. Survivor definitely is a step up especially with customization and the large vast open world.

I bought this game for my boyfriend and he says it is a fun experience and a good game to play if you are a Star Wars fan or even like Star Wars. He highly recommends this game for anyone out there that is interested in Star Wars or a big fan of it or just wants action and to be a Jedi character. There is plenty of action in this game. This game is like playing the character role of a Jedi like in the movies and it is an open world game. It’s a good game to play. It’s a fun experience. There is plenty of action and if you’re a Star Wars fan, it’s a great game for you to play. When you play the game in story mode, there is a lot to learn about the story of the character that you’re playing in the game.

First off, don't listen to all of these folks giving this game 1 star because you have to download 86GB. The game is 146GB total and blurays only hold 100GB. I put the disc in, went out and mowed my lawn and did some weeding, came back in a couple hours later and it was ready to play. Plus reviewing the game based on the file download isn't really reviewing the game, now is it? That said, there are few bugs. But worry not, the patches must have fixed most of them because I'm a few hours into it and haven't experienced anything that makes it unplayable or even comes close to ruining the experience. A couple cut scenes where the audio lags behind the animation and an occasional very brief screen tear. However, I can assure you that it's nothing that's going to hinder your enjoyment of the game. Now, onto reviewing the actual game which people seem to not actually want to do for some reason. The game is, well, AWESOME! If you enjoyed the last one, this one is an improvement in every aspect. The combat is smoother and more versatile. The different saber types are super fun and satisfying. There are more choices on how to approach an attack so it feels a little less like button mashing than Fallen Order. The story thus far is very engaging and a great progression over the excellent story of the first. The graphics and world building is absolutely beautiful. I'm really loving the mechanics in this game, too. Platforming has a few cool additions to wall running and double jumps. Puzzles are fun, too. The only minor gripe I would have is that the chests are still pretty useless. You get more than just ponchos, light saber parts and paint this time around but overall it's still just appearance perks. Nothing useful in gameplay. Also worth mentioning, there's a home base for Cal now where he can get side missions and buy things. Pretty cool. I'd like to see them elaborate on this aspect a little more next time because there's a lot of potential there. Anyway, like I said, this game is a must have for any Star Wars fan. I would give it 4.5 stars, taking half a point off for the bugs that these developers really need to get under control before release day. This is a trend that will not stand with consumers. It's not as bad as Cyberpunk 2077 which was unplayable for about a 6 months after release (great game after that) but to require 2 patches in the first week is rather excessive.

I just finished Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on my PlayStation 5, and I can confidently say it's an absolute masterpiece and a worthy successor to Fallen Order. From the moment I booted it up, I was completely immersed in Cal Kestis's continuing journey through a galaxy growing ever darker. The graphics on the PS5 are simply breathtaking. Every planet, every character model, every lightsaber glow is rendered with stunning detail, truly bringing the Star Wars universe to life. The story is equally compelling, picking up five years later and delivering a mature, engaging narrative that kept me hooked from start to finish. Cal's evolution, the new characters, and the returning favorites all contribute to a rich and emotional experience. Gameplay is where Jedi: Survivor truly shines. The expanded Force abilities and diverse lightsaber fighting styles offer so many dynamic combat options, making every encounter feel fresh and exciting. Exploring new planets and revisiting familiar frontiers is a joy, with plenty of secrets to uncover and challenges to overcome. The blend of challenging combat, clever puzzles, and platforming sections feels incredibly satisfying. While I've seen some mentions of technical issues, my personal experience was largely smooth on the PS5. The few minor hiccups were easily overlooked given the sheer enjoyment I got from the overall experience. This game delivers on all fronts: a fantastic story, gorgeous visuals, and incredibly fun and deep gameplay. If you're a Star Wars fan or just love action-adventure games, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is an essential addition to your collection. Don't hesitate – grab it now!

In spite of some performances issues with frame rate and several crashes, Survivor is a greatly improved sequel with excellent new lightsaber and force abilities, as well as a moving follow-up to the original story. I wish there were one or two more worlds to explore, but exploration also has a lot of changes that make it a lot more convenient to get around places. Definitely among my favorite Star Wars games!

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor delivers an unforgettable adventure that builds on everything great about Fallen Order and takes it to the next level. This game is a cinematic, action-packed, and deeply character-driven journey that pulls you right back into Cal Kestis’ ongoing fight for survival in a galaxy ruled by the Empire. The story is gripping from beginning to end — intense, emotional, and filled with powerful moments that show how far Cal has come while revealing how much the galaxy needs heroes like him. Cal’s growth as a Jedi and a person feels incredibly authentic, and seeing his struggle against overwhelming darkness makes this one of the most compelling Star Wars stories in recent years. Gameplay is fluid and satisfying, with polished lightsaber combat, thrilling Force abilities, and seamless exploration across beautifully crafted planets. There’s a perfect balance of challenging battles, puzzle-solving, and cinematic storytelling. Every new location feels alive, full of secrets, danger, and surprises. From returning allies to new faces and formidable enemies, the cast makes the world feel rich and full of depth. And with next-gen visuals and performance, the PS5 really brings this Star Wars universe to life — stunning environments, detailed character designs, and immersive sound design make each moment feel like a blockbuster film. If you loved Fallen Order or simply want a powerful single-player Star Wars experience, Jedi: Survivor is a must-play. It’s emotional, thrilling, beautifully crafted, and a triumph for Star Wars storytelling and modern action-adventure gaming. May the Force be with you — you’ll need it

When I played the original game, I felt a certain love and I haven’t felt within a Star Wars project within a while. When playing the next game, there might be some hesitation, regarding on playing a game worrying if it doesn’t live up to the hype. Well with this game honestly I can say that the hype was definitely match other than being a little buggy at first and Low fps in some areas. I can see that the game runs pretty smooth in the story is just as compelling as the last one. The only complaint I would have for the game is that I wish they would’ve given a better navigational system. Sometimes you can feel lost on where to go, but that can be easily fixed by just going on YouTube. I can truly recommend this for anybody who enjoyed the last game, or for anybody, trying to get back into a great Star Wars story that gets you hooked, not only by the grade abilities that you can obtain, but also with the beautiful cinematics that come along with this game

Amazing Game With Some Major Bugs

This is probably my new favourite Star Wars game. It builds upon so much from Fallen Order. It was bigger and better and I loved it. The combat was satisfying and I am so looking forward to diving back into it. I enjoyed the story so much more than Fallen. Its almost a 5 star game if it wasn’t for the bugs. I encountered a game breaking bug very early on that caused me to restart the game and lose 5 hours of progress. This bug has since been patched out but at the time it was disappointing. Luckily, the game was fun enough to where I still had fun replaying it. The game also takes up way too much storage on the PS5. I also experienced occasionally crashing. I was surprised with how beautiful the game looks in quality mode. Definitely worth a play in that. Overall, the game is a must play for Star Wars fans. Definitely get it if you love the franchise.
