    Great product. Borrowed one from a riend and wanted one of my own. Unfortunately i bought the wrong size for what i needed, so it never even came out of the packaging - went right back to the store. Will need to re-order. Awesome way to repurpose "old" harddrives!

    Couldn't be happier. Didn't transfer supper fast but then again it had to transfer an entire TB off an old HDD and it didnt take horribly long. Pretty sure it transfered as fast as the HDD would allow.

    Excellent product for data migration. I was able to transfer my windows operating system on regular hard drive to Samsung SSD without any issue with this cable. In addition you can use this to access any SATA drive by connecting to USB port of your laptop/desktop.

    Purchased this to run my Home Assistant Rasp Pi 4 off of a spare SSD that I had lying around. Works fine. This is one of the few USB to SATA cords that will work with the Rasp Pi 4.

    This adapter worked great. Used to move Wlndow11 to bigger 1TB SSD drive. After that upgrade I'm using it for system backups to old laptop 1TB HD. Very fast data movement. Was a good price and was shipped fast.

    The cable works with storage drives, but not with optical drives. The listing doesn't mention optical drive support, so I cannot justify rating down the cable. It just works.

    This cable works great with SSDs. HDDs are a different story. Although the computer recognizes when you plug in the USB cable, the hard drive is pretty much non existent and cannot be formatted.

      We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced when using HDDs with the USB3S2SAT3CB. Please note, the adapter only supports 2.5" SATA hard drives that are fully functioning. The adapter will not work with 3.5" drives. Brandon, StarTech.com Support

    Bought this to migrate from an HDD to SSD and it worked without any issues. There are some cheaper options available out there though, but it's a great product all around.

    This cable does what it is designed for. Everything connected well. Throughput seemed kind of slow but it is not a powered cord so that is to be expected. I just wanted something cheap to use two or three times and this cable did the job.
