This review is on a SteelSeries - Arctis Gamebuds true wireless noise cancelling gaming earbuds for Xbox, PlayStation, PC, Switch, Mobile and VR. I have been waiting a long time for an earbud solution for Xbox. This is an excellent pair of earbuds. They sound great. Volume is loud and the bass is good. Battery life has been great so far. They fit perfectly inside the curve of my ears as if a mold had been created from my ears. They hold in place and I can sling my head around without them falling out. Setting them up is easy. They come with a USB-C to USB-A adapter to connect to your Xbox. Once the adapter is plugged in, all you have to do is pull them out of the case and they immediately connect. Put them in the case and hold down the buttons on the earbuds for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode and connect them to the Bluetooth device listed. Press a button once and you can swap between Bluetooth and 2.4 wireless. The app on mobile can turn features on\off\up\down or you can do it by the buttons on earbuds. The buttons are easy to push and you can tell when you have pushed them. There are many equalizer settings you can change between in the app on mobile or PC. All of them are tailored to popular games. One of them is for footsteps and yes it does enhance footsteps. Other equalizer settings are for music, movies or your own custom. You can turn ANC on\off or in transparency mode. I do not like ANC mode. They have a horrible overpowered popping sound when in ANC at full volume. You can turn it down to get rid of the sound. There is an update that you need to perform when you get them. It can only be done through the PC and it was a little difficult to find the program due to different titles. Once I installed it and connected the earbuds while in the case to the PC, it only took about 5 minutes to update. I think after the update it helped with ANC a little but the popping sound is still there. Really there is no need for ANC though. The difference between ANC on\off and transparency is barely noticeable other than the popping sound. I would recommend these to anyone looking to get away from those bulky and funny looking headsets while streaming or playing games.

Don't be fooled by the hype: these are terribly annoying and disrespectful of your rights over your own body. You can't disable the auto-power off, and that is NOT OK FOR EARBUDS.
It's not ok at all to ignore user settings and considering the Nova 7's have the same problem, and have for <3 years... Don't count on Steelseries fixing it.
Steelseries is using the same annoying power settings for these earbuds that they do for the headsets: they shut off after 10 minutes of silence by default, and they reset to that default every time you turn them on. You must launch the Steelseries GG app, and open the settings EVERY TIME YOU TURN THEM ON. I'm seriously considering calling them defective. They will turn off while you are dictating.
Also, you cannot disable or even remap the button controls. Holding them down for 2 seconds turns them off, and yes, it does wake you up in the process. Forget about sleeping with them -- which they _should_ work great for.... but the buttons ruin that.
The lack of control over the controls, intentional ignorance of user power settings, and history of ignoring user feedback make these a HARD PASS, unless Steelseries starts spending more on developers, and less on shills.
Sony Inzone Buds are better.
JBL Quantum TWS (from 2022) are WAY better.
Heck, even my TOZO NC9's -- which are budget and bluetooth, are more convenient in game mode.

Disappointed by the performance and usability. Operation controls are not intuitive. I like and use SteelSeries Arctis over the ear headphones, and was hoping the GameBuds would be just as good, but unfortunately I will not be using these for gaming as I had intended.

Excellent pair of air buds. Easy to setup and connect. Needed a pair for ps5 and the Sony version didn’t have the best reviews. This are more bang for the buck!

First these r completely garbage u couldnt hear single footstep in any game bc volume is so low but if u use sonar u cannot use any of the presets bc it will cause a werid loud poping noise and wild audio distrition as these headphones cannot handle louder volume then how then come out of box bought then yesterday messed with all kinds of setting to make then louder for about 4 hours then just completely gave up bc u can get louder but without having massive audio issues then return them the following day just buy inzone buds then come out the box ready to go no screwing with setting put to 100 they loud as most overear r

Only gaming earbuds I'd ever thought I'd need. 10/10

They worked fine at the beginning but i heard of lot of complaints from my friends wrt mic not being audible.
And from there the experience kept getting worse.
After couple months, the 2.4hz connection has just been a nightmare. I have to re-plug the dongle every time for the earbuds to get connected to my PC. And now, the left earbud stopped working all together.
Do not waste your money on this product

Just lost my left eat bud today on the way to the airport. Gonna get another pair. Maybe a notification system for when the earbuds are out of the case?!

To be honest, for someone who games more than the casual gamer. The ear buds are just convenient if you don’t want to wear over the head headphones. Sound quality is a little under “decent” quality. It does not do well cancelling outside noise, friends and other gamers constantly talk about how terrible the mic quality is. I bought these and gave them a week trial and just could not lock in while playing COD. Wouldn’t recommend for a “sweaty” try hard but would suggest for a casual gamer and or sports games or any other game that doesn’t require you to LOCK IN AND SWEAT like you’re in a sauna.

Not work the money. The software doesn’t work. The sound is flat. I couldn’t hear foot steps while play R6 siege. The software lets you adjust the volume and bass… well that doesn’t work and when put on weird numbers the headphones were making a crackling noise. I got better sound quality from my AirPods. All the good reviews are blowing my mind after my experience. Save your money.
