Grip isn't for me, mouse itself works well

I'm a petite woman. My hands are on the small side of medium. I expected a better grip. The front end of it, where the buttons are, are too low. I have to hold my fingers at an uncomfortable position so I'm not dragging my thumb and pinky across the mat with the mouse. A thumb indentation would help with this problem, but it's flat on the side. I have to hold my thumb up rather than letting it rest while using the mouse. The mouse buttons are louder than necessary - they're louder than all my previous cheaper mice, which were more comfortable to grip too. It feels like plastic, not luxury. I really did not want RGB, but it seems all mice have it these days. I was able to turn off the main light, but not the light under the scroll wheel. I really feel like I'm settling with this mouse. I'm not in love with it.
It glides very well, the DPI settings are great, the accuracy is very good... all the core features are great. It's purely the design of the mouse that I'm not in love with.

I have been unhappy recently with my mouse. I was using a corsair Pro M65 for over a year and loved it but once the creaking and rattliing started i figured it was time for a new mouse. I purchased a Logitech G703 with the Powerplay gaming mat. Well all was good for a day or two until i noticed how thick the mouse pad was and how the hard mat and cloth mat supplied liked to slip around on the charging portion of the powerplay. So i decided it was time to switch back to a wired mouse after only 3 months with the G703. This Rival 310 glides like a dream across the logitech hard mat and feels so crisp and responsive. With the pricepoint of only 59.99 (purchased for ten dollars more with the replacement guarantee) i feel i have my mouse for the next few years or so.

Great product, great price for gaming. It will even work for other needs. Don’t forget to download Steelseries Engine and play around with X and Y sensitivity, very fancy.

I bought this mouse around mid sept, 2020 and it worked amazing the first 5 month. But after those 5 months, the adhesive on the grip started to fail. Now the grip on the right side of the mouse constantly moves and falls off. Every morning when I hop on my pc, the grip is sometimes completely off and on my desk.
Its so bad that in between matches when my hands are off the mouse, the grip will move around and i would have to reapply it to fit snug and not scrape against my mouse pad.
So be weary. This mouse has a good feel to it in game but the build quality isn't all there.

Started falling apart at 3 months. Good feel and pretty simple. It's a beginner mouse that's overpriced.

There are newer, fancier gaming mice available, and other mice of the same size with slightly lighter weight for FPS gaming, but it has a smooth, accurate sensor that improved my gameplay, and doesn't have many superfluous features to get in the way. This is currently my favorite mouse.
I liked the overall shape of the mouse, even for my large (20cm) hands. It allowed shifting my grip during play to suit the situation without feeling unstable. Despite being slightly too small to quite fill out my grip, the shape of the back end still felt better than larger mice, the sculpted side panels aid grip, and in my experience, the way the primary buttons curve down toward the front and slightly to the right side provide better ergonomics compared to a flatter profile - this last point was important for me. Most of the body and primary buttons are hard plastic with a matte texture that initially felt slippery with cold hands, but that improved after a few minutes of use. The side grip panels also feel relatively smooth; rubberized, but not sticky. Most of the grip on these panels comes from the texturing. The cable is not removable, and feels light enough that it doesn't interfere with movement provided there's enough room in front of the mouse. The scroll wheel and CPI button are low profile enough to stay out of the way, and the CPI button was still quite easy to press with my middle knuckle when needed. The wheel has a firm feel and good tactility, which is good for distinguishing incremental movements during gameplay and makes it easy to press as a middle mouse button without accidentally scrolling. However, it's firm enough to be difficult to spin quickly, so it's great for gaming but not ideal for scrolling rapidly through web pages or documents.
I found the primary button clicks felt slightly plasticky, but still durable, fast, and reliable. They are light enough to click quickly but firm enough to prevent accidental clicks. The thumb buttons were easy to locate thanks to their large size, but are still in a good location to prevent accidental presses.
The RGB lighting is tastefully applied, and glows smoothly. Both of the glow areas are mostly covered by the hand during use, so it's not distracting. Colors are customizable in the SteelSeries software, but I haven't made use of this feature yet. By default, they cycles through the many available colors.

Great gaming mouse! Better than the Deathadder

I have been using a Deathadder and Blackwidow for years now. But I finally had enough of Razer's horrible software and decided to make a change. I bought this mouse due to Steelseries reputation and because I read that there software was simple and reliable. I was not disappointed! The mouse fits my hand better than the Deathadder and seems to be more accurate. The software is easy and has not given me any troubles. I have one complaint... the rubber usb cable. Braided cables look better, don't tangle easily, and do not get caught or stuck easily. If it had a braided cable, it would be perfect.

I usually do not use wired mice because of my desk, but, I decided to try this one out. I think that it's pretty smooth and it gives you the accuracy that you need, you can fine tune it however you like. Steelseries gives you a interface to adjust all the buttons and even the color of the mouse, and lighting patterns. Overall, it's a nice mouse, it has a balanced weight, and it fits my hand very well.

I have had countless Razer mice (don't even get me started) and a Logitech 403. Of those mice, the Rival 310 is far superior in my opinion. The software is excellent and trouble free (said no one ever about Razer). The mouse is very light, fast, comfortable, and accurate. I love it so much that I have one at my main rig and another that I use for work and when I am traveling.

I tried Razer and Logitech pro mice before but this little guy here is amazing for fps games. It is light and accurate. It fits larger hands the best so beware if you have smaller hands, you might wanna try it in store or somewhere before purchasing. The steelseries software is not the best and easiest to work with but you can get around it!

Amazing mouse shape for me!

This mouse is perfect for my hand size and grip. My hands measure 19 by 10.5 cm. My natural grip is a relaxed claw style so i tend to rest my index and middle knuckle down on the mouse and claw my fingers. This works perfect on this mouse since the hump is towards the back of the mouse and it's ergo slant is much less drastic than other ergo mice. The weight is perfect for me, buttons feel great.
The only things I'd like changed are the cord to something a bit more flexible, though this one hasn't given me any problems. And also the scroll wheel button is just a tad too easy to press down. Otherwise it's perfect and I highly recommend if you have a similar grip style.

Like most gamers I searched online, read reviews and compared YouTube videos and finally decided on this one. Its not the top of the line expensive mouse but for most games this mouse works great. Built quality is really good and fits well on my hand. But for big hands this mouse might feel small. Buttons are nice with good scroll movement. Would be better if scroller was little tigher so you don't over scroll when switching weapons but still excellent. The click response is really quick and responsive so in games your shot are quicker. so overall very happy with mouse

Having already owned two headsets from SteelSeries, I felt pretty comfortable replacing my Razer mouse with a SteelSeries mouse, and I'm glad that I did. The Rival 310 is comfortable to use and lighter than I expected from a full-sized gaming mouse. It has an on-mouse sensitivity adjustment as well as programmable RGB lighting. I highly recommend this mouse!

I really wanted to keep this mouse. I really really did.
It was nice and light, tracked well, and fit my hand well for the most part (20cm x 10.5cm).
The reason I had to return the mouse was because I struggled to hit the front thumb button without shifting my hand or contorting it.
I use the thumb buttons all of the time and to not be able to use one of them really hindering my gaming experience.

I like how this mouse fits my hand for various grip styles: palm, claw, etc. The configuration software goes in depth and you can control mouse acceleration and angle snapping (I recommend disabling both). Lastly, the mouse has internal memory: it saves your config profile even when unplugged and reconnected, and when you exit the SteelSeries software.

Alright mouse not too heavy and fits good for palm grip or palm claw hybrid. Lift off distance is higher than older model the rival 300. Old model was about 1 disc while this 310 is about 2 discs maybe 1.5 discs high, certainly threw me off when flicking and doing rapid movements, something to get used to if you're upgrading from the old model.
